BWV - decided to try - disappointed

I kind of think the OP is a little ironic due to my own experience at a Marriott resort in Phoenix. We stayed on the cash side and had a WONDERFUL visit. it was gorgeous. We loved our room, the main resort, etc. The villas or timeshare portion of that resort though was located down a dusty road. You couldn't walk to the main building. When we drove around the villa area, we felt like we were visiting a trailer court. The building was new, but it just had this second-rate feel to it. It was a sad substitute for what we had just experienced.

While I don't doubt the BWI is beautiful, the BWV rates much much higher than the villa portion of the Marriot resort that we had visited.

However, I am HIGHLY annoyed with the 4pm check in and to me, I think 4pm is as EARLY as it can be. I expect 5pm actually. But the other DVC resorts to me don't have the poor check in time that BWV does. Regardless, we don't often arrive until AT LEAST 1pm into Orlando. It takes time to drive, get lunch, then check in. If our room isn't ready, we visit the grocery store (we need to go anyways) and we are usually checked in by the time we get back.

I wish we had the nice TV's, but in the end, I LOVE walking to EPCOT or HS and will watch what little TV I watch on vaca on a cheapo tv than deal with driving, and other transportation issues when visiting EPCOT or HS.
