Just a simple one - is the BWV Concierge that great? Is it worth the money? Would it be better spent over at AKL?

Just to clarify - There is no concierge at the Boardwalk Villas (BWV) only at the Boardwalk Inn (BWI). The Villas are part of the Disney Vacation Club and are Home-Away-From-Home units.

We've never stayed at the Boardwalk Inn concierge so hopefully someone else can answer your question.

I have had great experiences there while others have not.

I think everyone agrees, myself included that AKL gives an awesome concierge experience.

I thought it was pretty good, although we didn't use it all that much. We were staying in a garden suite, and it was quite a hike to the concierge lounge.;) We did go up every day on our way to the parks for coffee and a quick bite to eat. This is what I saw while we were there: Mornings: various pastries, bagels, muffins, cold cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, milk, juices, ets. Mid-day: a couple of cold dips, chips crackers, gold fish, m&ms, maybe a veggie tray, drinks. Early evening: hot appetizer, veggie tray, pb&j sandwiches, cheeses, crackers, wine. Late evening: coffee, cordials, various desserts, cookies, etc.

The staff there was friendly and courteous, if not overly outgoing. They were helpful when we had questions; but didn't go out of their way with greetings and such when we entered the Inn Keepers Club.

Hope this helps some!

I enjoyed the BWI concierge, but it was not my favorite. On a scale of 1-10, AKL is a 10, Polynesian is a 9.75, BWI is a 7, YC is a 4, and GF is a 1.

Is it worth the money, that is a subjective question. IMHO, yes it is. But if you are doing it only for "free" breakfast and snacks, no, it's not. I am willing to pay for an added level of service that many on these boards are not. Like I said, it depends on what is important to you.

Having stayed at both....I'd say yes...it is very good...as is the AKL....given that comparison....or choice (BWI vs AKL )...I think it boils down to which location you'd prefer to be in...and themeing desire...both are well themed...depending on the lenght of your visit...perhaps you could split you stay between the two to get the 'best of both' ? :)
