BWV BW view at 7 months 2BR?

Anyone have any luck reserving a Boardwalk View in a 2br at 7 months at BWV? We'll be there the week after Thanksgiving and have always wanted the BW view, but thought it would never happen. Do I have any reason to hope?

your chances for that timeframe to even get a room are probably slim to none. week after thanksgiving is the busiest time at DVC Epcot resorts or at least its been my experience and I own there and that is my favorite time to go. I always book exactly at the 11month window with all my points and make sure if I need more to borrow from a boardwalk owner rather than use my othe rpoints at 7 month when not much is open. Good Luck but what you should have done is get points from BWV open at 11month to secure your booking.

I think that's going to be pretty hard to get, but you won't know until you try. We always book the BW view exactly at eleven months.

I know this is a different week but we are planning on going the second week of December and are wait listed for boardwalk view. We weren't able to book at 11 months out because we bought resale about 1 month ago. We didn't have any luck with standard view 2 bdrm either. So we are currently wait listed for either standard or boardwalk and hopefully one will come through.

I hope you have a reservation in the mean time that can be cancelled if your waitlist comes through. Otherwise, you may not have anywhere at all to stay.

I got one right at 7 months for MLK weekend checking in on the Thursday before.

There are already waitlists for both SV and BW view for that week. I do not think your chances are very good. You pretty much have to be an owner to grab a BW view anytime between Columbus Day weekend and the first few days of January. Occasionally, we will read reports that people get lucky at 7 months or even closer to arrival, but those are exceptions.

Perhaps BLT will open up more space at the BWV this year, but there are BWV owners who are currently waitlisted for the BW & SV villas even though they have Pool/Garden view villas booked (as their back up).

It never hurts to try and/or use the waitlist. But if you plan to definitely go at that time, it's a very good idea to have a back up reservation.
