Does Disney buy back the points.. I heard that Disney will buy back points for 75 dollars a point. I am curious because I saw someone trying to sell b-w for under 70 dollars. It was alot of points but that would be ROFR right?
I think the buy back is at like 56$. I haven't read that many, I just know it wasn't a good deal for the seller. I strongly doubt anything around 75$ will pass ROFR. Actually it wouldn't pass at BWV.

I'm not sure I understand exactly which type of "buy back" you are referring to. There are two ways Disney might buy back someone's contract. The one we're most familiar with is ROFR (Right of First Refusal). If someone is selling their contract, they have to send the details of the purchase agreement to Disney for review. Disney has the option to buy the contract at the terms agreed to between the seller and buyer. So if Disney feels the deal is "too good", they will step in and buy the contract. For BWV, the ROFR levels are around $84-$85 for larger contracts (>100 points), higher for small contracts particularly if the purchaser is not already a member, though someone did recently get through ROFR with a large contract at $79/pt which was quite a surprise.
Disney has also offered to buy back contracts from some members. I believe it was a BCV owner who reported being offered around $55/pt from Disney. If someone is selling BCV or BWV, they would do MUCH better selling the contract on the resale market than they would selling it back to Disney for $55-$56/pt.

I think when people are trying to dump a large contract, they may do this, knowing Disney will ROFR it. A buyer will bite on the off chance Disney doesn't.
