BWV Booking Up for Dec 2016 Already

Yep, happened the same way during F&W booking for 2016. I actually missed my first try, but got it the next day and a day later my first day was there. Each day the standard studio BWV was gone just seconds after 8:00AM. I had to sit there with my iphone watching for the exact second. It gets harder each year! Good OP.

Called promptly at 9 this AM, and 1st night, 2 bed standard only night we couldnt get(Dec 8)so we decided to book at Garden view to make sure we got the room. Extended family going so had to make sure to get it. Shame 11 mos is booking up the day of, never had this issue before.

That happened to me for our Oct 2015 trip. Took three morning using the online system right at 8am before I could get my standard room. Was just a good thing I was flexible on what days I could go.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I own at BWV and we're looking to go December 2016 as well. However, we're looking to go the 23rd-31st. Should we have a problem booking a studio during this timeframe? I don't care whether it's standard or preferred view.

If you are willing to book any of the views then you should be fine.

Booked a BWV Standard at 8:01 4 days ago. By 8:03 am, they were all gone.

As others have stated the value studios go fast, moreso during popular times but walking is obviously no longer a best-kept secret.

On day one of window, I was initially shut out of BWV value studio for res beginning 10/1 this year. I waitlisted a five night stay which surprisingly came thru the next day! I waitlisted a sixth night at that point. Via stalking the website snagged it 18 days later.

BWV standard studios often have not come thru if we missed the 11 month booking. Our October trip is a fixed point for us, if i can't secure the week have taken to booking offsite. While I'm glad I was able to secure what we required for our trip, it does make me nervous to point where I am considering adding on enough BWV points to be able to walk my reservation

Online opens at 8:00 so calling at 9:00 is a disadvantage.

Was able to get final day for our 2 bedroom Garden view. Just dawned on me, all 2 beds are lock off at BWV, therefore, standard studios book quickly, so the 2 bed standards probably booked even quicker because of this. We usually book 1 beds, so normally, no issue.

I am waitlisted for BWV standard view 1BR and if the earlier dates are open but the later dates aren't does that mean someone is walking their reservation? or not an issue at this point. it is dec 3-10 and 6-10 are not available... seems too late in the cycle for that to matter. Just have to see if waitlist opens up I guess

Can someone give me more info about the BWV studios and bed/tv combo? Been out of the whole loop for about 5 years.

Using the Resort availability tool it shows that for 12/12/16 no Standard view studios are available at BLT. But there are standard view studios available for days before and after. A 2BR standard view shows that 12/12 and 13 are not available and a 2BR lockoff shows only 12/12 is not available.

Walking would affect the 8am availability in the way that they have already taken rooms out of inventory for that day that wouldn't normally be. So at 8am there may only be a room or two available for booking which then goes very fast vs the 5 or 6 that ought to be there if the walkers weren't walking.

I forgot to book the day I should have. I called two days later and got day 1 and 2. The day after I got day 4 and 5. I waitlisted the 3rd day at this time. Today I noticed I had fewer points in my account. My waitlist was filled! This was for a standard 2 bedroom at BWV.

Now I am back to planning our April trip.

I have been on a cruise, so unavailable to book, but today I did get 4 nights BWV SV 1 bedroom for 4 nights after the Podcast cruise this December. I am very happy!

Here is an example. Let's assume someone really wants to stay from December 7-14. The booking window would open January 7th and you could book that entire period. But, because you can book at the window opening for 7 days, on January 1st you could book December 1-7. So people do that. Then, every day for the next week they call and "walk" the reservation through the week. On the 2nd, they call and drop December 1 and add December 8th. Do that for 6 more days and you have the time period you want. In essence, you are able to get those potentially difficult days or room views without having to wait until the 11 month window opens for your entire desired vacation period.

I tried to get a SV studio this morning, had computer trouble, and was shut out by 8:01. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as I decided I really didn't want to give up my BW view for the relatively few points saved (over 2 nights). I love my balcony and looking out at the parking lot is a let down for me. So a little less competition for you all!
