BWV Boat Horns HAHA

Alright. I am waiting to close on our BWV contract and starting to think about our first trip there. There were a couple of BWV threads bellow but none touched on this subject exactly. I have stayed at the Yacht Club, the Swan and the Dolphin in the past. We could not hear the boat horns at the S or the D. We absolutly loved or stay at the Yacht club, but as late vacation risers, by the third morning, i wish I had a grenade launcher for those damned boats ( more specificaly the section of the boat with the air horn button). Is there much difference between the SV side of the villas or should I just load up the noise canceling headphones. I would love to hear some thoughts.

You would not hear them on the standard view side, I've stayed on that side 4 or 5 times. I've stayed in boardwalk view several times and I can't say they were an issue but we're usually up by 7:30. We had more of an issue with the game bells at night.

I love those boat horns and I have stayed Boardwalk view. One of my favorite things about having that view. It is true though you don't hear them standard view.

IMHO... I will take any noise while I'm at WDW vs. the quiet of my home anyday!

All kidding aside... if you are close to Atlantic Dance you will hear music with a BWV at night. I'm sure the proximity of the villa, compared with the dock may make a differance too. BWV is a great resort... we own at BCV... it's very peaceful.

When I was there at the end of October last year, the evenings were warm and my friend & I really enjoyed sitting out listening to the music from the Dance Hall, we were in Crest O' the Wave. We stayed out there until they turned the music off around 11:00.

Night noise isn't a problem as we are midnight oil burners. We like a little more hussle and bussle late so that was a big draw to BWV.

interesting......i've stayed at BWV many times (though never w/ a Boardwalk view) and have never noticed the boat horns while in my room/at the pool. Maybe i wasnt listnening for them

Just kidding. Thats good information. Please describe where your rooms usually are so that i can look for the quieter spots in the resort.

Those boat horns drove me crazy at the Yacht Club.

I did not hear them in 2 BWV standard view stays.

LOL, we just got back from BLT and I told DH that I thought BWV was much quieter than BLT. BTW, we always stay in a BWV room.

We've only stayed at BWV one time on the village green and I don't remember hearing the boat horns at all.

Now I've got to go back just to find out for myself.
