BWV- Boardwalk view

BWV on BW - if you are in a studio and sleeping on the sofa bed - you will heard some of the noise. definitely better with the curtain closed - but even then some people are just LOUD when they are drinking. Plus the game thing can get to you if a bunch of people are playing it.

but the real problem was that BOAT! think it has improved - but then (this was years ago) it started at 6:30am in the MORNING.... honking that horn.

believe me if you are on the sofa bed that will wake you up.

now mother was on the queen bed and nothing seemed to be bothering her.

when I would jump up and say that was too loud - it was plain she was still asleep and didn't know what I was talking about.

so let the kids (or no one) sleep on the sleeper sofa and you sleep in the bed - this is studio, only!!!

Our last visit to BWV, we did hear some noise. Not the boats or games, it was the people leaving Jellyrolls at 2:00am. It did not last long, but it did wake me up. Thankfully, that only happened one night out of our stay. Still, it wasn't enough for me to forgoe BW view. Now our stay at a 1 bdrm. standard, we were right accross from the elevator. That was 10 times noisier than that night at BW view. I guess we'll have to stay at SSR to hear no noise at all....

Anyone know the room numbers for over the Big River Grille?

Either of these 2 directly above it with the block walled balconies rather than the spindle style:

Oh, boy -- wish I could help you. We've stayed in one of the rooms just over the Grille (inside the "covered" section on the left of your photo). We had a 1BR unit with the larger balcony -- I think it was on the 3rd floor, not the smaller perch shown on the 4th. Unfortunately, I don't record/track our room numbers ...

What we especially loved about that room: The bedroom backs up against a maid's closet. We weren't bothering a neighbor while talking and sipping coffee 5AM.

FWIW, it isn't the boardwalk noise that I notice at this resort ... it is the thin walls between units.

The one on the far right is 2011, a 1 bedroom. There was a studio lockoff, so I assume 2013 next to it (above the canopy).

We stayed in a 2 BR with the SILs and their families above Big River Grille (rooms 2015 and 2017) and had no problems with noise.

We stayed above the Big River Grill on the fourth floor.
No problems with noise.

Great view!!

I wouldn't shun the standard views either, we had for F&W and it was amazing how quickly we got out to the BW to get to Epcot, ditto to the pool/hot tub from our first floor, dedicated, Standard view studio.

Each have advantages, depends on the trip and the plans.

Thanks all, I think it must have been 2013 we stayed in last time, think I'll request this again, or a room close by, as we loved it last time!!!

We stayed in one of the Grand Villas which is right in the middle (under the boardwalk sign.) I have to say that I could definately hear noise late into the night--but I'm a light sleeper. I think the game area may be more noisy than other areas and that was right outside our balcony. I don't think it would be a BIG annoyance to anyone, but it's not quiet either!
