Happy Birthday Cat said:I have never had one of those rooms but I have heard that the rooms that look out onto the "village green" area are considered preferred view and not Boardwalk view.
We had a Boardwalk view last year and I think it's the best view of all the DVC resorts and right up there as one of the best hotel room views at WDW. Have fun.

Almost certainly.wildernesslodgelover said:I have a standard view reserved for Oct. So does that mean i will most likely be looking out to the entrance of the BW? Where guests drive up to?
No, not from your room. But you'll only be a few steps away if you want to be there yourself.wildernesslodgelover said:Is there any chance of getting a view of the actual BW area?
Unless you need to be close to the elevators (strollers, wheelchairs, ECVs or otherwise can't do stairs), ask for an upper floor across from the bus stop. If you are lucky enough to be placed in that area, you will probably have a view of the higher level fireworks from IllumiNations from your balcony. You will be close (via stairways) to the MGM pathway, the Community Hall/quiet pool area and the bus stop. There is quite a bit of nice landscaping and flowers between the villas and the driveway - you'll have a nice view.wildernesslodgelover said:Is there anything in particular I should request? this is my first time staying at this resort (I AM SO EXCITED) and I am renting points so I would love some tips and suggestions! I was just about to start a new thread but I figured I would just add to this one.
thanks!
