We can't choose between BWV, BCV, and WLV (or even AKV) for our June 2009 trip. We are a couple celebrating our 20th :lovestruc with our 9 year old son in tow. We're all in pretty good shape, so long hallways or walks to pools or transportation will not bother us.
Here's what we're looking for:
-We'd love to stay in a newer or recently renovated room (probably a 1 br)
-We don't want to view a parking lot, wall or loading dock
-We'd rather not be in the middle of a construction zone
-A good pool is important
-A relaxing atmosphere would be ideal, since the parks are pretty zany (but fun!)

If you have an opinion, please share! Also, if this thread is in the wrong place, sorry! I get a little confused on the DVC section of the boards.
Thanks!

If you request a Savannah view away from Kidani, you should be happy with AKV. We stayed there in August and loved it.

I went with VWL as it is very relaxing and the views are mostly woods views. The pool is nice, but it's not SAB.

Since your view is so important, I would have to go with a Savannah view at Jambo, (request Arusha or Uzima savannah) no construction, or Boardwalk view at BWV.

You really can't go wrong with any of them!

My first thought was to stay at AKV with a savannah view. But then again I'm biased since it is my home resort and I am a HUGE animal lover! If you stay at Kidani Village the rooms will only have been open for about a month.

The Boardwalk is also a good choice. I stayed there once with a boardwalk view and it was amazing!! We could see Spaceship Earth and France from our room and it was so nice being able to just walk to Epcot.

But then again, BCV has the most amazing pool on Disney property! I've never stayed at BCV but have seen the pool and it is awesome!

Anyways the good thing about BWV and AKV is that you can pick your view if you want, with BCV and VWL you can't.

I would say call and see what's available and pick based on that!

I went with VWL. BWV and BCV are great resorts, but in the middle of the action. If you are looking to get away from the crowds, nothing says "cozy" more than Wilderness Lodge. Plus, they have a great pool and lots of things to do. One added bonus, while it seems away from it all, it's very close to lots of things. It's easy to hop over to the Contemporary, Poly, Grand Floridian or Fort Wilderness.

Have fun planning!!! :thumbsup2

I voted for VWL because it is so convenient to the MK, and has good places to eat. I would have voted for BWV or BCV if you were going in a cooler month, but the convenience of walking to EPCOT and HS is not a bonus when the weather is very hot. Then again, they are a ferry boat ride away, too! I would decide based upon the parks you are visiting the most, and stay at the most convenient place.

You will have a great stay no matter what, I'm sure!

I didn't vote, because I think the place that comes closest to what you listed is Saratoga Springs!

We stayed at BCV in July...pretty hot but oh so close to EC and you have to walk in all the parks anyway when it is hot. I love BCV for the location.

We usually stay at BCV in the summer, once the BWV. We like being able to walk into Epcot and DS and there are lots of great restaurants on the Boardwalk, plus the entertainers at night. Great pools at both. :)

I voted for BWV. Since you are celebrating your 20th anniversary I believe you would find the boardwalk to have lots of fun things for you to do and enjoy at ease. The pool at BWV is great for your son and you both. Since you have your son in tow I dont think you would want a very quiet private area.
