Do either the BWV or BCV have dedicated two bedrooms? If not, do they offer 2 queen beds in the second bedroom?

BCV has some dedicated 2BRs which I believe have two queens (but not sure). BWV has only lock-offs and second bedroom (studio) has the pull-out couch (full-size, not queen).

The BCV have some dedicated 2 bedroom units with two queens in the second bedroom. These are in a separate booking category, so you will know if you have one when you book. They are the most popular room type at the BCV and tend to book quickly as soon as the 11 month window opens. The other dedicated 2 bedrooms at the BCV have 1 queen and a queen-sized sleep sofa in the second bedroom.

As drusba already posted, there are no dedicated 2 bedroom units at the BWV, so all of the 2nd bedrooms will have just 1 queen bed and a double-sized sleep sofa.

Are the pull out sofas the old standard kind or the new ones? Has anyone used the new ones and if so how comfortable are they?

BCV has about 74 dedicated. A third have 2 queen beds and the other two thirds have a queen and a pull out queen. To my knowledge, these and the LR pull outs are the only oull out queens in the DVC system. There is however some listing on the unit descriptions of the websites that list pull out queens where they are full size, SSR comes to mind.

We had a new sleeper sofa in our BWV room in Feb. (rm.4004). I had heard many reports of them being placed in the BWV rooms. Here is a pic

The red section under the mattress is a hard plastic coated metal. The black portion under the mattress is a flexible webbing.

As far as comfort... DD5 thought it was cosy.

What are dedicated rooms? Lockoffs? could someone explain this stuff to me? or is there room style definitions for dummies anywhere?
Thanks
Chris

PS. love the photos

Lock-offs are comprised of a studio attached to a 1BR. The 2nd BR (studio) will have the kitchenette and a patio/balcony as well as it's own exterior entrance. These villas are connected by a door inside the unit.

Dedicated villas do not connect to another room to make a larger villa. The 2nd BR will have more closet space, no kitchenette, no private entrance and usually no balcony. Some resorts (BWV, VWL, BCV) do have dedicated Studios and 1BRs - not connecting to another room.

Except for BWV and the exceptions already noted at BCV, the other resorts will have 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR of the dedicated 2BR villas.

Except for OKW, all studios (lock-off or dedicated) will have a queen bed and sleep sofa in the room. OKW has 2 queens in all Studios.

The other important distinction to remember about dedicated vs. lock off 2BRrs has to do with Vero Beach.

At Vero, there is a benefit to requesting a lock off 2Br as opposed to a dedicated. This is because the lock offs are at the end of the villa buildings that face the ocean, while the dedicated 2Brs face the sides or rear. So if you want a nice view there and want a 2BR, specifically book a lock off (at Vero, that is a reservation category, not a request) and request top floor.

We did this for our trip last August, and has a spectacular view of the Atlantic from our two third floor balconies.;)

At our home resort (BWV), we now book 2BR BW views, and not only enjoy having that second separate entrance and kitchenette but also three - count 'em, three - separate balconies (one off of the bedroom in the 1BR, one off the living room in the 1BR, and the third off the studio.). That gives us almost as much exterior space as a Grand Villa, which more than makes up for the "lack" of two "real" beds in the studio.:goodvibes

If I am a VWL & BCV vacationers what tips do I want to know about the rooms? Such as availability and a rough price structure? IE - How quick they go and at what price.
Thanks for answering more goofy questions.:thumbsup2
