BWV Availability

I managed to booked my reservation today for Oct. 19 (7 days), but just went back to check and now Oct. 19th is not available. But Oct. 18th is now available, which was booked up yesterday, so it looks like some are walking their ressies. Since my trip is 14 nights, I have to now call and add the rest of my days. I do wish there was a way to modify and add more days easily. I actually had to do this twice today, because the first time, I didn't choose enough contracts with banked points (I have 5 BWV contracts/add ons). Since I wanted to use my banked points first, I mess up choosing, so actually had to cancel and then do it again. I was nervous that once I cancelled, it would be booked up, but it worked out for me. Though it's only been 2 hours now and the first day is not available now.

OK, so I booked Oct. 18-25. Now I need to add two more days. I can't do this online the conventional way but I could go oline at 8:00 am and book another week, Oct. 19-26 then later cancel Oct. 19-25 then do the same tomorrow morning. If I wait until 9:00 am to call MS it's possible the 26th could be booked up. There should be a way to add days online to an existing 7 day reservation without walking reservations.

You cannot modify a reservation online. They will probably add this feature at some point.

If you want to book Oct 18-27 (9 nights) here is the best way to do it. You book your first 7 nights online on Nov 18, just as you did. Then you call MS on Nov 20 (11 months out from the last of the 2 nights you need) and add 2 additional nights to your existing reservation. No walking required.

Just a curious addition to the BWV thread. Not to interupt, but I know it is very busy during F/W, but what about early December? Is it difficult to get a SV studio at 7 months? Any other view is only 1 point less for a 3 day weekend than a standard at my home of BLT, but at that time BWV standard is 10 points less.

Early December is very popular. Based on my experience, it is highly unlikely that a standard view studio will be available at 7 months. In fact, they will probably be gone on the same day the 11 month window opens.

If you want to stay at BWV in early December, book what you can when the 7 month window opens and then waitlist for the SV. You could get lucky.

Ok, Thanks..I will probably book a SV at BLT then at the 11 month mark, and just waitlist the Boardwalk room to try and save the 10 points. You never know. Honestly may prefer BLT for that time of year anyway, but we do want to try BW sometime, but the trip would be a weekend event to see the MVMCP for the kids, so maybe BLT would be better off anyway.

I've been trying to get a BWV Standard Studio for October but having trouble getting 5 nights in a row. Might give up for October and try again for December.

I did the opposite a few years ago - booked SV at BWV and then waitlisted for SV at BLT. This was for a 1 bedroom the week after Thanksgiving and before online booking. It worked, much to my surprise.

Had some of the same thoughts about the relative point cost - wasn't sure the extra amount was "worth" it at BLT. But I did want to try it at least once, lol.

We did enjoy our stay and it was so nice to walk home after MVMCP. Now that we've experienced BLT, I can say I really enjoyed BLT but still prefer out home, BWV.

We booked SSR back in July for 11/30-12/2, sort of last minute trip in DVC world lol. We wait listed BWV standard studio and it came through in September. Anything is possible

The Boardwalk area can't be beat. As they say, location, location, location.
But when it comes down to it I prefer BWV over BCV simply because of the point savings. I just booked 9 nights SV at BWV 10/18-10/27 which was 106 points. Same reservation at BCV is 139 points.
