When we arrived for the OKW annual meeting, we were told the BWV annual meeting had not yet ended. When a guest wakled out, I slipped into the back
. It was during the last few minutes of their Q&A session. Here is what I heard:
1. complimentary valet parking - bellman & valet are gratuity positions, but Jim Lewis was adamant that if a CM is overly aggressive, then the member should let DVC know
2. fish feeders are empty? gone? - they have been pulled for all over WDW property ... it is against the animals habitat to be fed by humans
3. additional boat transportation during the Food & Wine Festival from members dues? - transportation decides needs
4. cost of Internet access out of line compared to other hotels, etc. - Jim Lewis commented that there was s huge investment initially so the fee covers this cost until they recoup the cost; JL realizes that Internet access has become an industry standard
5. why common/public areas so cold - corridors use 100% outside air & must have humidity taken out; looking at changing set points
6. housekeeping - can someone check the room before guests get the room (member described making five phone calls over three days to get a missing lamp) - answer - YES!
7. preferred parking at theme parks for DVC members - Jim Lewis said it would be tough to accomodate the numbers; same member asked about the need for new thermostats sincethe rooms are either too hot or too cold
