I have confirmed that I have a 1 Bedroom Pool/Garden View at the BWV for 7 nights in mid October. Any suggestion on a room request? It will be myself, wife, and 2 young children, 4 & 2. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

I like the canal view, but that is a very long walk from the lobby / elevator. With young children, I'd suggest asking for a room near the elevator.

Welcome to the DIS boards!

We stayed in a one bedroom pool/garden view a few years ago and were located on the first floor right across from the pool. This worked out great for us because while our youngest was napping, either myself or dh could sit on the patio and watch the other parent swimming with our 4 year old.

Did you find it to be noisy on the grown level? Especially at night?

Couple years back we stayed in a room over looking Luna park pool right above the kiddie play area. It was at the very end of the hall so there was a window looking out over the canal as well. Best thing for us there was a set of stairs right there, we could get in and out of the building fast for the parks or the pool. Never really had to go through the lobby.

We have always requested a ground floor room. We avoided the steps, and when our kids were younger, the ducks would walk right up to the patio door for crackers!

I would request near elevators... it can be a very looooooong walk down the hall :-)

There were a couple of nights that I walked to the community center which is located right next to the "quiet" pool and I told my husband how glad I was that we didnt upgrade to the garden/pool rooms because of the echo noise. The people weren't being too too loud but it was amplified by the area and was noisy in my opinion.....or in the opinion of a mom to two small kids and that night time sleep is SO important. We ended up getting the standard view and was very happy with that choice!

Either way, have a great time!
