I've never posted a message on here before so I'm not entirely sure how the points system works.

Suffice to say, there is a group of 5 adults, 3 children, and 1 infant that want to stay in 1 or 2 / 2 br suites at the BWV in July of 2006 for 3 nights as stated in the subject.

I understand the services offered in this room, however I was told that DVC members sacrifice things like housekeeping, etc, is this true?

I want to know what the easiest way would be to obtain reservations for these rooms? Should I get the points from a DVC person? If so, how does that work? Or, should I just book through WDTC directly? I'm just afraid that those rooms will be gone by the time they are available to the general public. Can anyone help me with this?

It will be a heck of a lot cheaper to rent points from a DVC member than to get the room through CRO. Of course if you go throguh CRO, you will have daily housekeeping but it will cost a lot more.

I'd suggest you read Doc's FAQ's on the rent/trade board to see how it's done. The ponts generally go for about $10.00 or so each depending on the time of year and the resort.

As to housekeeping. You would get trash and towel service on day 4 of your stay if you were staying that long. You can pay extra for it every day or you can get full housekeeping every day if you'd like too.

Good luck. Renting points is a great way to save big bucks. I have been both a renter and a rentee and it has always gone smooothly.
