WE have ressies for a 1 bedroom at BWV for Jan 6-13th. It will be my husband, my mother, DD(3yrs. old) and myself. Do you think a one bedroom will be roomy enough for us? Is the sleeper sofa comfortable? I think DH, DD and myself will take the bedroom, grandma says she'll be fine on the sleeper sofa, but I really want her to be comfy. I would love to get a 2 bedroom, but it really is not within our budget. Staying onsite is a must, and we love the idea of having a kitchen. Any thoughts regarding the BWV, and if you have stayed there how many people were in your party? Thanks so much for any feedback!

The one bedroom villas at VWL are very roomy. I think the room sizes are about the same at BWV. We did not use the pull out sleeper sofa, so I'm sorry that I cannot answer that for you.

The bathroom is large and the commode is separated from the shower/vanity area. The kitchen is great to have as well as the washer/dryer.

We are staying at VWL again in December with 2 adults, 2 kids and a baby and we are not worried at all about space.

I hope this helps a little.

You should do just fine ....DH and I and 12yr. G.S. stayed in a one b.r. in Sept 2001....G.S. slept on sofa- bed...the B.W. is a great place.esp in the evening....of course if you want lots of space you could stay at OKW...we will be there in Dec....

There are only two beds in a 1BR BWV. The bedroom has a king size bed and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa (which is plenty comfortable.) Your plan would have your DD sleeping in the king size bed with you and your husband. Perhaps you could inquire about a roll-away.

Otherwise, this is a very roomy accomodation. There were 3 in our party and we loved staying here.

My husband, 2 DS and I stayed in a 1-bd. BWV last Sept. Our 7 and 9 yr. olds slept on the sleeper sofa and had plenty of room. That is our favorite resort - you'll love it. So much to do and see.

tell me that you are buying/renting a vacation club owner's points and not getting your ressies any other way?... if not, you should, you'll be looking at an enormous price difference... if you are, good for you... just making sure...

HI, thank you all for the feedback- much appreciated!
Actually I'm not renting points from a DVC owner. I know that you can do that, but I'm not quite sure how it works. I did get a slight discount using my Disney Club membership, and I'm hoping to use a code (whenever they become available....)
Out of curiosity what do you think I might pay for a one bedroom at BWV, 7nights, if I rented points?

I checked the point calculator. Jan 6 check in with 1/13 checkout would be 200 points for a 1 BDR . At a normal rental of $10/pt. that would cost you $2000 to rent from a DVC member.

Standard View would be lower, but I'm assuming you couldn't get that, as they are almost impossible unless you reserve 11 months out.

No roll aways available at DVC resorts.

I have some pirctures of the One Bedroom Villas in my resort gallery. Here is the link:

Have a great trip! :)

Fabulous pictures, thanks for sharing!!! Do all one bedroom villas have a balcony? Are rollaway beds not allowed at any of the villas, or just those units owned by CVC members?

lulugirl,
My family and I are renting points from a DVC member and staying in a 2 bedroom. I learned how it worked from these Dis boards and The people here couldn't have been more helpful. We are renting Sunday thru Thurs nites with check out on Friday. By going on these days the points are much lower and I think we are paying around $330 per night. I would have to double check. I am also waiting for the AP rates to come out to get a deal there or possibly at another resort for Sat and Sun. Check it out, it really is a super deal!

All of the BWV rooms have a balcony.

None of the DVC resorts provide rollways or cots. Doesn't matter if you are a DVC member, someone who is renting points for a stay from a member or just reserving your room through Disney/CRO/TA. No rollways or cots.

Some people bring an air mattess or an aero bed along to get past the "only two beds" problem. Perhaps that will work for your 3 year old.

Enjoy your stay!
