BWI to SSR

We have changed our plans around & have decided not to do a park on the day we switch from BWI to SSR.

Should I take the boat to MGM then bus to SSR? or bus to DTD then boat to SSR? or is there a better way that I'm not thinking of.

? Are you moving your own bags or having Bell Services do it.

If you are I would bus to DTD then Boat to SSR.I think the walks are smaller .

If it was us I would go by myself and check-in to SSR early (get new room keys while DW & DD gets ready for the day),let bell services do the move and just go to the parks. Come back when room is ready (they will give a number to call) ,bags should be there by then .and hit DTD or go back to the parks.

I'm going to have Bell Services move the bags. I was going to take a cab by myself & check in but DH wants to see our home for the 1st time together

I'd use Disney transportation. If you take a bus from BWV or BWI (I think you said that was where you were staying) to DTD, you have a choice of either walking across to SSR or taking the boat. I guess I'd be walking to get a good feel for the place.

I would take the boat to MGM and bus to SSR and get off at the Springs bus stop. That will put you right at the main building for check in.

Unless you have a reason to go to Downtown Disney prior to checking at SSR I would not go that route.

Unless you and your hubby take a taxi, which is definitely the easiest way to get there.

I'd take a bus from MGM directly to SSR.

I would take a cab but there's 6 of us. I'm leaning toward boat to MGM then bus to SSR. It just seems less confusing

Do you have to check in again when you switch resorts? I will stay at AKL for a weekend and move to SSR for remain 5 nights (hopefully my waitlist at BCV/BWV comes through).

I thought you only check in once if you link the reservation. Maybe I am wrong.
