fair warning to all who plan to stay there. just got back, had a terrific view of epcot. BUT, we were awakened EVERY night about 2-2:30 by music blaring from epcot. and one night they ran the fireworks again at midnight. not much sleep last week.

...with my family from 11/14 to 11/21, and were never once awakened by noise. We had a fourth floor BWI room, overlooking the Bakery, and didn't hear anything!

We had a wonderful stay, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

We stayed there a week in June and never heard any music from Epcot. We did however hear the landscapers early in the am once or twice.

I have no doubt that you heard the firworks and music in the am they make adjustments from time to time.

I also hear the noise from the BW in my room above the bakery, others say they do not. I like the noise so I don't post about it much, but I am always surprised at posters who think you are imagining it.

Well I dont think either of us thought the op imagined it and certainly didnt say that in our posts. I assumed it was probably due to the locations of the rooms, however I didnt hear any music from Epcot during my stay so I thought it would be okay for me to post that.

We were across the water at the Yacht Club and they left us a phone message that they would be practising the Holiday (?) fireworks (don't remember the wording..) and I did hear it - sounded like thunder after midnight. Glad they told us about it or I would have been wondering...

That was the second part of the trip - first part we were on the 14th floor of the Contemporary for 3 nights and heard noise EVERY night until about 2 a.m. Most we could figure was that someone had a private party at the restaurant above.

So this trip was a little noisier than usual...

This happened to us when we were at BWI in Sept. 1999. They were testing Illuminations 2000 at 4:00 in the morning with music AND fireworks!

I jumped out of bed because I thought there was a bomb going off (I used the be in the Army). We swore we'd never stay there again and we haven't.

I was just there, Nov 13 till the 18, I was on the 4th floor right over the Seashore sweets room 4255 and we DID NOT here a sound, even on the 2 nights I was in bed by 8pm because I was not feeling weel at all. I love the BWI:D

Well, I tell ya, if it was our imagination, several dozen folks standing out on their balconies were fooled too.

We staying in a garden view room at BWI in 1999. We did hear music and fireworks in the middle of the night, but I thought it was pretty cool! I definately don't get that home, so it was magical to me!

Easy.....I wasn't referring to you, these threads come up from time to time, kinda like the "smell" at the Polynesian.

I can see how you would be awakened from a sleep if they shot fireworks off in the middle of the night. They should have warned you beforehand so that it wasn't such a shock. Those BWI "Epcot View" rooms are awesome, but I don't thinik I'd want a 2 a.m. firework wakeup call every day of my vacation.

Where and why were they blaring music at 2 in the morning? I thought the last place to shot off fireworks was PI at midnight and they do that every night. But I guess if it really bothers you don't put your self in the "middle" of the magic. I think its great!!

The same thing happened to me at the GF. They were doing some sort of test run for fireworks. They did it around midnight or so. We did get a letter a few nights before, however. We weren't trying to sleep so it was actually a nice surprise for us. :)

Happened to us one year too, frightened the life out of me :) They did pop a letter under the door to let us know this was going to happen though

Just to be fair this was not really a problem with the BWI itself. Anyone who stayed at the YC/BC, S/D or the BWI would have had this issue. I doubt the testing goes on all of the time I would suggest that you give the Epcot Resort area another try on a future trip as somtimes things look differently when you are well rested.

I was at the BWV the same time. ALthough I was not awakened by the music , I did hear/see the fireworks at midnight. I was actually very happy to see them ( i was still awake at the time)

The late night fireworks thing has happed to me at the BC, YC, and BWI over the years. The last time the woman in the room next to mine thought people were shooting guns!
