If money weren't the issue, which would you pick? The suites have 1.5 bathrooms, concierge service and you know what your view will be. The BWV have a door between the rooms and a washer/dryer. We don't have little ones to worry about alot of laundry.

Hmm tough call! I guess each has it's pros and cons.

I love the layouts of of the 1-bedroom villas and having two balconies, especially if they were to overlook the Boardwalk itself. I like the bathroom/bedroom set up better, with the tub opening up to the bedroom. I enjoy the cozy feeling of the living room area but know that the kitchen would go to complete waste.

The suites are so private and secluded though. They also have access to the Inkeepers Lounge which I like, but it means a walk to get there, not as convenient compared to other resort's concierge suites. Having to walk out into the rain/bad weather for snacks and drinks doesn't seem worth it to us. I do feel that the decor is slightly outdated but it has such a nice "cottage feel" to it.

I think for us, we'd go for the 1-bedroom villa or opt for a 1-bedroom suite else where. As much as we love the garden suites, the layout, lack of private balcony/patio, and distance/exterior walk to the concierge lounge just don't work for us. We really like the "apt/suite" feel of the villas, the main bathroom/tub, and the overall seperate bedroom. I think we'd also place an order with gardengrocer to stock up on some snacks/drinks/goodies for the room.

Just my .02

We just made this decision! I'd like to stay at the suites, but my sister and her BF are going to be with us for a few nights, and the villa affords us more privacy. We had the suite, but we changed our res to the villa.

I'll admit, too, that even though we could manage either, moneywise, the $600 we are saving for 3 nights doesn't hurt, either.

The kitchen may not go to complete waste. It's so nice to have a full size refrigerator to keep beverages in. I don't have to lay bottles down or squeeze them in at an angle.

It is really nice to have the washer/dryer right in your unit. I throw in a load when I first get up in the morning, and by the time I'm ready to go, the laundry is done. I can pack a third of what I would usually pack and I don't have to waste half a day in a laundry room.

I would agree that it's also nice to have the interior corridors instead of the outside entrances of the garden suites.

The suites have their positive points, but I think you'll really enjoy the villa.

I am a DVC owner at the BWV. You cannot go wrong with the 1 bedroom villa. It offers the comforts of home and gives you a lot of extra space. The kitchen is a plus. You can always go to the General Store on the Boardwalk and get groceries or have them delivered to your door. Plus, they have the washer and dryer in the unit. There is nothing like going home with cleans clothes and not having to upack dirty laundry.

I believe you will like it better.
