I just called the manager of the concierge department and voice my opinions on a few things as far as the services. She talked to me like I was a child. When I comment on the bottled water being warm she said " the water is not cold because we took into consideration that it wasn't suppose to be put on stage, it was NOTintended to be taken to the parks, just drank in the longe or on the balcony with ice" Give me a break, for all the money you pay for concierge I would think you can drink it when and where you wanted to. she also said that AKL does it the same way. needless to say I will never pay 368.00 (without tax) for concierge (that was with me buying AP) we had to check in like all the other guests, why did I pay, never again, BWI left a sour taste in my mouth to get a little extras:(

I wouldn't accept that kind of treatment from a manager. I would write to the Manager of the hotel. No matter how much you pay you should be talked to like that.

Goodness! I totally agree with the other poster who said you should contact someone above the manager that you spoke with! That's terrible treatment! I also do not understand why you had to check in in the regular line if you're a concierge guest - that's supposed to be one of the perks - at least, it always has been for me when I've stayed concierge! Here's an email address that can be used for either praise OR complaints - I'd strongly suggest that you use it to write to someone about this incident!

I agree that you should go to the general manager of the resort, or whomever is above this manager that you spoke with. You should not have been treated with disrespect like that.

about check-in, did you check in late at night? the only time you should have to check in at the front desk when staying concierge is if you check in past 10pm, when the concierge desk is closed for the night. I had to do that once at the YC, but they had told me that nicely ahead of time. that since we would be checking in around 11pm, we would have to do so at the front, but in the a.m they would be happy to assist us with anything we needed. and our itinerary was waiting for us in our room when we got there.

I was checking in around 12-1 pm, the funny thing is i told the valet I was checking in concierge and they looked likee I had 3 heads and said just got to the front desk. each time I have checked into concierge it was always not with regular guests.

I'm only mildly offended;)

I have never done concierge service because of the cost and our trips are never "hand around the resort" trips. If I did..... I'd expect WAY more than what you got!!!!!

I got better service at WL in a standard room than you did.

Write that letter. If nothing else, you won't feel like you just sat back and did nothing.

Who know, maybe you will have made things better for the next conc. guest.

The Yacht Club concierge lounge didn't even HAVE any bottled water ! We even specifically asked for some and they said that they simply don't provide any. I had read so many posts about concierge saving money because of all of the great free bottled water to take to the parks- I guess they were not refering to AKL, YC or BWI. We didn't really care much about the water because we were upgraded but if I had actually paid for the concierge level I would have been really disappointed like you :(

they used to have the bottled water at the YC concierge, they just stopped it a couple of months ago. but they do have the large glass bottles, or perrrier. you can take them to your room. we found it great, (even after having been spoiled with the small plastic bottles last time at concierge)
we always had large bottles of water in the room, it worked out great, and still saved us $$$ on water.
we drink water all day long, so in the parks we always are buying water anyway.
and at the resort, we could get water at the lounge, and they gave us the large bottles for the room! :)

Sounds like the concierges are starting to go from plastic bottles to glass. I remember last summer all the "excitement" on the boards about the GF concierge not having plastic bottles of water, and how people vowed to never stay there for that reason - especially since "all" the other resort's concierges offer them. Guess that isn't so anymore.
