BUZZ's Brigade - TEAM CHALLENGE - POST MILES/HOURS HERE

Here are my totals:
Miles 9.41
Minutes: 316

Keep getting those steps in, team!! :goodvibes

Well, I didn't do as well this week. I missed my 4 mile run last Friday, and was never able to make it up. Hope to do better this week. I did my first interval training on Wed. and did well. I actually got several compliments from neighbors saying that I looked really good running. I find that encouraging because I feel like the Pokey Little Puppy out there. :lmao:

Anyway, here are my totals for 3/7 - 3/13:

Miles: 12.38

Hours: 4 hours 2 minutes

Oh, and MickeyT, I haven't had the chance to say :welcome: aboard! :grouphug: Very inspiring story you have. Glad to have you with us! :thumbsup2

I am mailing off my registration for my first 10K today! :cool1: :yay: I'm really excited, can ya' tell? ;) :rotfl2:

OK Buzz's Brigade I've got everyone up to this point. Keep up the great work team.

As for me I got in a family walk yesterday of about 2 miles and I did my normal 10 miles last weekend. I cut back my mid week runs to 5 miles each so I got in 22 for the week.

MickeyT of course we want your numbers since the beginning of February. You did the work you deserve to post them!!! :thumbsup2 Ddo you have them broken down by week since the beginning of February? If not we can just take them and get an average and plug that in for each week. As stated above our weeks consist of Friday through Thursday each week.

I hope I didn't miss anyone else's questions. Life has gotten busy on me lately and it's not letting up.

OK. Here's my first week totals:

24.6 miles
5:26 time

This was a great week. 50 degree weather and extra time off from work. Even with some heal/foot pain my best week ever. (Oh Yes> plus all that W.I.S.H. inspiration in the back of my head!) Thanks for all the welcomes!:grouphug:

Hi Buzzies,

Thank you all for the Birthday WISHes!

Kathy (Valentine) & Cam – Hope you had a fun weekend together.:yay:
Mike – Welcome to the team!
Jackie – Congratulations on getting your motivation back! :woohoo: Good luck & have fun at your 5k tomorrow.
Cindy – Great job continuing to get in the ab work.:thumbsup2
Jill – Congratulations on the State Championship!:thumbsup2
Leslie – Good luck on your quest for more XT this week!
Kathy (NYcpa) – How’s the new bike? Have you gotten outside with it yet?
Duane – Welcome back from your cruise. I don’t know about extra credit for eating, but I bet it was worth it anyway.:upsidedow
Anne – I love your “Spring is Coming” Made me smile. :) I thought it was starting to come here, but they are now calling for a rain/snow mix on Sunday morning. Ugh!!! :sad2:
Eva – Haven’t seen any posts from you in a while. Hope all is well. We miss you!
Chris – I love that you get in the family walks on top of all the miles you do. Hope some of all that snow you got is starting to melt.
Allie – Congratulations on registering for your first 10k! :woohoo: :cool1: :thumbsup2
Pat – I have a hard time increasing my pace on the TM too. I am always a lot faster outside.
Wendy – Sorry you had to cancel your races for this weekend. Kids activities really take over the budget, don’t they. :confused3
Jessica – Hope your knee is feeling better. :wizard:
Michelle –
John – :love2:

I was able to get outside again this week for my short runs. Did them at R3/W2 intervals. Was happy with the increased running lengths even though my pace wasn’t much faster then doing the R2/W3 intervals. Hopefully I will be able to build up to doing the longer run intervals on my Long Runs. My goal for this year is to be able to Run/Walk a half instead of Walk/Running it. Still doing my stretching routine 2-3 times a day. It really seems to be helping my hip/ITB/hamstring (where's that knock on wood smilie) and it doesn’t hurt that it adds 30-45 minutes a day towards our teams hours. :thumbsup2

Here’s my totals for the week:

Miles – 15.19

Time – 8:28

Have a GREAT weekend!

To Infinity and Beyond….one step at a time!

Hi, everyone! I am so sorry that I have been such a terrible teammate! :sad1: I have been so distracted at work and post here and there while monitoring a gazillion teleconferences. ICK!!
My piddly contribution for the pastt two weeks is

3 hours
26.15 miles

Yes, I have been to the gym only twice in the past two weeks. I went from being sick, to being sick & tired, to being just tired and overwhelmed, to realizing my very painful ankle was due to needing new shoes. So, I got new shoes last weekend but no time this week to get to the gym.

This weekend is not looking good either, as Howard and I are doing a whirlwind trip to Denver from Saturday night to Monday mid-afternoon to see one of our best friends get married on a mountain outside Vail on Sunday afternoon. I know it sounds crazy, but how could we miss WISHing her all of life's happiness in person, right?

I promise I will be better starting next Tuesday. I shudder to think about the Minnie looming not so far off. :scared1:

Have a great weekend everyone! :grouphug:

Hi Team!!!

Glad to see everyone checking in!!! For those who are concerned..I Pm'd Eva (minigirl) to make sure everything was okay..... she did respond saying that all is okay.. she is just overwhelmed with life.... she promised to check in soon....

Okay.. my totals for the week are....

12 Hours....
23 miles

I am having a REALLY Bad day here at work... I really don't understand why some people take joy in making other people unhappy.... it just boggles my mind.... :(

Anyway.. I am working on cheering myself up.... that's why I came in here....

Okay... off to find some stuff to make me smile....

Kathy

Ok, here is my accomplishment for the day. I ran 4 miles in 52:12! :cool1: :yay: I am supposed to be running at a 13:50 pace, and I did it faster! The weather is supposed to get bad here later today, so I took my running clothes with me to work. I literally RAN to the post office to mail my 10K application. It was 1.8 miles from my work. Then I ran around the parking lot to make it an even 4 miles. I can't believe that I was able to do it. I couldn't have done it without this competition. Y'all are the best motivation for me! :worship: :worship:

Hope everyone has a great weekend! We just started Spring Break!!! :cool1: :yay: :dance3:

Kathy (Valentine), one of my coworkers is coming to NYC next week with her hubby, and no kiddos! I'm so excited for her. Wishing it was me. :rolleyes1

Trying to get back on track -- went to the gym tonight to try to build some minutes and miles. Will report it all next week! Have a great weekend everyone! :thumbsup2 :grouphug:

Hi Buzzies!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying their Sunday. I did 8 miles yesterday, my longest distance since WDW in January. I am still slower than molasses, but at least I am moving. Going to do 4 today as part of my mini/Minnie training (Indy mini-marathon 1/2 May 3rd and Minnie 15K May 4th).

Alright Buzzies Wake UP! :yay:

We have went almost 3 days without posting so I wanted to push the thread back up to the top of Page 1.

I hope everyone's training is going great.

I'm awake! Things at work are getting better for me (meaning I have to work less hours), but I am having a hard time staying focused. I have a lot of things coming up in the near future that I am getting really excited about. I am really getting excited for the half I have on March 29th. I've really been training hard for this and it hasn't been easy because of how busy I've been at work, so I am hoping I will have a great race to reward myself with. This will be my second half but the first one that I've specifically trained for (the first was done while training for a full). I am also really, really looking forward to the Minnie!!

Jackie and Duane - I saw on the race reports thread - congrats on your PRs!

Cam - I hope things at work start to get better for you.

Allie - I love your story about running to the Post Office to mail your 10k application - that's great!

:wave2: to everyone I missed! Have a great day!

As promised, here are my running times back to week ending 2/8. I had them on my Garmin spreadsheet so I created an Excel to capture them. :surfweb: Boy did my respect for what y'all do to keep this info updated go wayyyy up:worship: !!!!! Adding time is not my bag. Anyhow here are the totals:

  • Weekending 2/08> 8.4 miles & 3:01 time
  • Weekending 2/15> 18.12 miles & 4:21 time
  • Weekending 2/22> 11.04 miles & 2:40 time
  • Weekending 2/29> 25.74 miles & 5:31 time
  • Weekending 3/07> 14.27 miles & 3:24 time

Will have my times for this Friday. Till then, TTFN!

I'm here.. Just... Life pretty much sucks lately... so.. I haven't been in a very Rah Rah mood.... Sorry everyone.. your captain is deflated :(

But.. knowing you all are here does help!

Kathy
