Does Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin really spin??

I've never been on it, and although we'll be two adults, I'd love to try it!! BUT, my Mom can't do spinning rides...

You would make it spin. There is a joy stick in the car so you can rotate the car around to shot at different targets. It is a great ride. I can't get my mom off the thing.

You can control the spinning with a joystick, and it only spins when you use the joystick.

Sometimes it's necessary to change your angle to shoot the targets. Using the joystick allows guests to do that. It's not a spinning ride like Mission: SPACE, Primeval Whirl, or Dumbo.

Because you control the vehicle with the joystick there is no reason to miss this ride because of motion sickness. I have been on it numerous times with no ill effects and I get sick just thinking about going on some rides. IMHO this is one of the best rides in the MK.

On my Hurlavator scale of 1-10 one being nothing 10 being instahurl

Buzz is a 1 as long as you are the one controling the joy stick, leaving it to the eight year old daughter almost got me in trouble.

Like everyone else has said, it's controlled with a joystick. Even if you spin it constantly, it wouldn't go fast enough to bother anyone, if memory serves me correctly. Feel free for corrections my well-informed-never-let-a-thing-go-to-guessing Disers!
