Buzz Lightyear this week

I had a respectable showing today on Buzz Lightyear, as below. However, I also learned something interesting. I was told by a reliable source that the score-keeping software has finally been upgraded/updated. However, either by design or by oversight, scores that exceed 2,005,000 are now discarded. That's bad news for those among us that keep track of their scores. Previously, my high score was just above 2M. Unless the bug is fixed, it may be that higher scores are now no longer possible, in effect. I hope they see to the problem.

That sucks. I don't even know how it is possible get a score that high. I am lucky to get 50k.

I think they did that to discourage people from making the ride stop to make higher scores.

People don't make the ride stop, but the ride will stop to let people in wheelchairs/elderly get onto the ride without it moving for safety.

There are definitely ways to stop the ride. I can't imagine someone doing so and not getting caught by one of the CMs watching the cameras in the ride, but some are silly enough to attempt.

Not speaking from personal experience! I'm too much of a goodie-two-shoes and wouldn't want to be banned from my happy place!

Truth be told, I wouldn't either. It just feels like cheating to me. Certainly it's not worth risking getting kicked out. One of the reasons I love going to DL is because the overwhelming majority of people there are so nice. No reason for me not to be. In order for that to work, everyone has to pay into the system .

I agree! The majority of people at Disneyland seem to be really nice and filled with the "Disney magic", which makes things that much better.

Even when the ride does stop (because of loading/unloading delays), I still can't seem to get past level 4! I'm jealous of all of you who can get those really high scores!

There are a couple of "high score" hidden targets. You can easily google it and find them.
