Buzz lightyear spin closed, no M&G?

Well I just discovered buzz will be closed during our next trip... Jan23-29. And we are bummed. My 2 year old lives for buzz.

My question is do you think they will still have the M&G right next door for buzz anyway? I don't want to even bother looking for it if it's not going to be there while the ride is refurbished

If the M&G is closed, I believe Buzz is still in Hollywood Studios, along with Woody, across the street from TSMM.

Yes.

Currently 10:00 AM-7:10 PM intermittently.

It is unlikely the M&G would close just because the ride does. The M&G area is outside of the ride and the queue and should not be impacted by any refurb activities. Also, it helps to have something to draw crowds when an attraction is down, so it makes sense to keep it open.

Well, if he needs a "Buzz fix" like my 3yrold does, this is what we do:

We bought him a Buzz Lightyear laser blaster. Then we put him in his high chair or on our lap and load up a pov YouTube clip of the Buzz ride. He proceeds to blast down all the Z's on the video and he totally thinks he on the ride. Great thing to do between visits to the parks.

We do make sure that he knows he can only shoot the "Z's", never people or our cats!
