Buzz Light Year - 999,999 perfect score!!!

We just got back from WDW and my 9 year old son got the perfect score everytime he went on the BuzzLight Year Ride!!!

The first time he scored it - I thought it was a fluke- He was at highest score before the ride was half over.

The second time - I watched him and he did it exactly the same -

We have The Galactic Hero!!!!

Holy Smokes! That gives our DS8 something to strive for in October.

When we were at the MK in Feb '04, he hit 709,800 on our last pass through the ride (I think we rode it 10 times in the 4 days were were there). That was way higher than any other score anyone had received that trip. We were thrilled at our "Cosmic Commando."

My 5 year old did the same thing. He reached 999,999 by the beginning of the second room. He must have hit something up high because he can't see over the front of the ride

My dad is currently going for 'Galactic Hero' on both guns...

There's a good target above the door (in the ceiling on your way out of the first room with the robot )

My husband knows and hit it every time on our last trip. He maxed out and was very happy about it. I will have to ask him where it is. I think it is robot in the 1st room, not sure though.

The top 2 ways to score highest:

1) Always keep your hands on the trigger, never let it go. You will probably double-triple your score.

2) In the first room, there is a target worth 100,000 points. There is a big orange robot and if you spin in the car and hit it on its left arm, you get the 100,000 points. You can also get 100,000 instant points by hitting the "Z" at the top of the ceiling correctly. 100,000 per hit.

1. After you hit 999,999 points, what do you do for the rest of the ride?

2. I have sometimes gotten a decent score (above 400,000) but don't know how I got there.

3. You can get a big chunk of points by hitting the Z at the bottom of Zurg's green pulpit. The gun won't point that far down when you are directly in front of Zurg so you have to either hit it as you are entering the second room or face backwards and hit it as your are leaving that room.

What he said, I guess I was right, but didn't know how to explain it. I think the robot his moving arms. That explains why hubby is always spinning the thing around as you leave the room.

My best score is when the ride stops, in the first room with the big robot.
You do have to hit the target squarely in the middle though to get the full 100,000.
I noticed I got just a few when I was hitting it off center.
