There are some very nice box wines available now too! They're great for camping (no glass to break), picnics, etc. They've come a long way from the old flavored box wines that were available 20+ years ago!
Boxes are not bad, but I still prefer bottles -- same as with my beer. I rarely if ever buy cans, only bottles.
When my oldest daughter got married the one thing she wanted was for me to upgrade the bar to premium wines and premium booze -- including frozen drinks. Cost me a bundle but they still talk about the bar.
The younger daughter, who is a real wine and beer snob, didn't want booze at all and wanted micro brew beers and gourmet wines -- and the ceremony was outside and the reception was at a pavilion. It still wasn't cheap. Hard to believe these two are sisters.
The older one is an engineer and the younger a physical therapist/hippie. Go figure.
Al, War Eagle! is a battle cry son. (you know like Go Gators! or Roll Tide!) I am sure they make Auburn Tigers beer though. I tasted many of attempts in college. I can't remember where or when, but knew I did from stories told to me later on...DH has stories on me, but I have more on him!!!!

Last time we stayed at FW, I took the small boat across the lake to the liquor store at the contemporary for wine, booze and cigars.
IIRC, they had a decent wine selection (DW like the chilean wines best). Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but not wildly expensive either.
Wonder if the liquor store is still there with all the changes they are making........
off topic: ntsammy5, I never took you for a Longhorn alum (you don't say "how does that make you feel" every 5 minutes LOL).......heard any good Aggie jokes lately? hehehehe
