Buying WDW Tickets

I am wondering if there is any discounts on buying tickets to WDW. We are planning to buy a 7 day park pass for 5 adults and 2 kids. We can not combine any disounts as we are staying DVC. And are adding the QSDP to our reservation already. We are doing WDW in January so I am not adding the water park option. I also was not going to do park hoppers at this point. This is our first trip.

We are Disney Visa members also members of AAA. I see lots of places advertising discounted tickets but, when it comes right down to it....it seems that the ticket price is the same no matter if it is Disney.com or AAA or where ever. Am I wrong?

I am not sure it even matters as I might upgrade to the AP since we do DL atleast once a year but, that is a $5200 investment, that I am not sure I want to make at this point?! We are on the west coast so I am not sure how feasable it would be to fly to WDW very often for 7 of us?!

Any suggestions?

Simply put no there is no discount for buying tickets at Disney. Beware looking for discounted Disney tickets there really is no such thing. Some venders do sell tickets for dollars and I mean a couple bucks less then Disney. My advice one look at reward programs you may have some have WDW tickets or decide on your trip if your coming back within a year and upgrade to AP.

You are looking at $1,900 (including tax) for five adult and two child seven day base tickets. Generally the best secure pricing you can get is to subscribe (free) to Mousesavers.com and go through their link to Undercover Tourist. Other good (and save) locations are AAA, Maple Leaf Tickets, and Official Ticket Center.

If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #20, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

Not strictly true....granted the discounts aren't much, but there are legitimate ones. I Hhve used Undercover Tourist. If you are a fan of Mousesavers.com, they have alink to them and sometimes through their newsletter offer extra discount. Here is the basic link:

Also, a link to the Mousesavers page on ticket discounts:

Hope you can find something that works.

I have bought our tickets through DVC, through AAA, and through Undercover Tourist. While it is not a huge difference, it is the cheapest and now I always use Undercover Tourist. The prices are including all taxes and shipping and handling. They are great to use. That is what I would personally recommend.

We are members of mousesavers.com and plan to purchase our tickets through their Undercover tourist private link. Best prices I have found so far! Shipping is free and tax is included in the cost of the ticket price listed!:thumbsup2

anyone know when the next mousesavers newsletter goes out?? It seems like it has been forever since my last one and now I am interested in seeing the prices through the discount link for either a 6 or 7 day base ticket. I even double checked that they still had my correct e-mail and yup they got me.

When are you going?

Since you have kids, consider http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/catalog/. You have to buy a ticket package when you register your child for the program. Tickets are deeply discounted; we got five day park hoppers for $170 each!

Programs are currently scheduled through 2011; none are yet announced for 2012. It's perfect for DVC families because you have to purchase the ticket package to register for the class. The class is no extra charge.

wow, that is a considerable savings, what if we sign up for the class, and do not show up?

They may cancel the remaining days on the tickets unless you can show a valid reason (such as illness) for not attending as you would have gotten the tickets under false pretenses.

wow, 224 posts on the yes program thread! I'm off to read....be back in 3 days!
