We will be at the Dolphin for four nights but will be arriving late the first night and leaving very early the last day, so we will only be there for 3 full days that we could actually go to any parks. I really only need a 3 day UPH, has anyone ever had them take off the first and last day?
Thanks caren

you decide when they go into effect and expire:cool: the only time i know you cant drop a day is with a package-its all or nothing.

Hoping for a clarification-I had heard that you could take off the first OR last day-not both.

Does anyone have a definitive answer?

I was told that if you purchased your pass when you made your hotel reservations then there was no option. You would be charged for the pass from the time of check in til midnight on the date of check out. But if you booked room only then purchased your pass at the hotel once you were checked in, you could purchase it on what ever day you wanted it to start. Then it would be good from that day till midnight on the day you check out

StrwLady is right. Last December I was there for a short trip, and only needed a 2-day UPH, though we arrived the night before and left the morning after (4 "days" total). CRO would only sell me 4-day passes. At the hotel (ASSp), the CM just asked me how many days I wanted and what day I wanted them to start. No problems at all.

Well I went ahead and called the Dolphin and they said YES you can get the UPH for just the days you want.(Do you think I should have got the person names who gave out that info, just in case?)
Thanks for your help everyone,
Caren

Boy, this is always so confusing to me! We are arriving at ASMovies on 09/29. We will not be entering a park until 09/30. We will visit the parks on 09/30, 10/01, 10/02, 10/03, 10/04, and 10/05 (we leave at 9:25 p.m. that night). I have read that the UPH are based on the nights of your stay, so, for us, that would be 6. If we do not enter a park on the first night of our stay (09/29), can we drop that first night (making it a 5 day UPH), but still be able to enter the parks on our departure day (10/05)?

I've been told if you buy them at the hotel you can drop both the first and last day or one or the other. As a matter of fact on our recent visit we split our stay with two nights each at two resorts for four nights. We arrived late the first day and left early the last day so only needed a 3 day pass. It was no problem to drop the day we arrived but the hard part was getting the third day on the same pass because the third day was actually flanked by the two nights in a different hotel. The initial check in person couldn't get it to work so the manager gave it a try and sfter some time poking buttons in the computer, it came out OK. But we had to have seperate tickets that were not on our room, but that wasn't much of a problem because it's cheaper to get a 3 day UPH than a 2 day and 1 day.
