Buying tickets for January. So unfair for AP Holders!

I am planning a Universal visit for my niece and her family for 4 full days of park visiting in January. They finally now offer tickets for sale for January and when buying a multi-day ticket with p2p access, it now includes Epic for all of the days you buy. How nice that you can roam between all 3 parks on all 4 days of a 4-day ticket. (When I say 3 parks, I'm not including VB in January!)

Our dilemma is that we booked HRH at the APH rate which is the only way this is doable. I was planning to get my niece a Seasonal AP just for the hotel discount. The problem is that AP holders still can't roam through all 3 parks like the multi-day, multi-park ticket holders can. If her kids and husband decide to hop to Epic on their last day she, as an AP holder, would have to pay for another entry into Epic. That is ridiculous.

I don't see it as an option on their website right now, but I can only hope that APs for sale after January 1 will include Epic visits.

Am I missing something here?

Agree with this - traveling with family in February and will have a mix of AP holders and multi day tickets! Trying to coordinate with a large group is confusing as it is without this to complicate things.

Some of us will be able to pop over to Epic while others will not ......

Watching for potential changes :)

I'm an out-of-state, on and off passholder, and am not even planning to go back to Epic on our next quick trip, so this isn't currently affecting me....But I don't like how APs are being treated. Options are limited unless you spend a lot of extra money for US/IOA access you already have. And even one-day Epic tickets are sold out or not available for the entire holiday break. Jan 1-4 were unavailable just hours after they first started selling Jan tickets.

If they don't want to offer an annual pass to Epic yet, which is understandable, couldn't they at least offer add-ons to APs that allow different numbers of Epic days at discounted prices, not merely single date tickets with a small discount?
