Has anyone used Disney's e-tickets? I'm planning on ordering the specially priced tickets online. It looks like you print tickets and then go to the gate. Then how does it work? Do you carry around those pieces of paper or do they exchange them?

I have used these in the past ad yes, you buy them online, take them to the gate and they will give you a paper ticket to use throughout th park. They will keep the e-ticket you printed out at home.

On the flip side, if you go to getawaytoday.com, their tickets are a little cheaper, but you have to go to the ticket booths to redeem your ticket.

Hope that helps.

We did this a couple of years ago. If my memory serves me correct, they exchanged the e-tickets for regular tickets. :)

I've done this too. Very easy. Just to be clear- the tickets they give you at the gate are regular tickets that you can use in the FP machines.

We bought them this way last June. Was very easy and like other's said, you turn your paper etickets in at the tursils and they give you hard tickets. We bought them at the last minute since we weren't really sure how many days we were going to go and it worked out great. Highly recommend it and we got one MM with them too!

Is it possible to exchange them at the Disneyland Hotel when you check in, or do they have to be exchanged at the gate?

Yes you can do this, we did this at GCH when we checked in, we just handed over the vouchers and they gave us the tickets along with our room keys and welcome pack, very easy :thumbsup2

Based on our experience, I recommend printing the tickets one per page if possible so that the UPC code is really big! Mine apparently defaulted to 2 per page, and when we entered the park on Dec. 27, they wouldn't scan. Well, the CM working was an older lady who we nicknamed "Roz" like from Monsters, Inc. She grumbled about how they should have been printed out bigger, and then she very slowly keyed in the # manually. I wanted to take it from her and read the #'s for her! She was obviously having trouble with what was apparently small print, and grumbled the entire time she was keying it in. And her grumblings were definitely blaming us for not printing them "right".
