I have 2 Disney rewards cards from visa and 2 AmX gift cards. Does anyone know if the resort will take these as payments towards park tickets? or will they just charge to your room?

Yes, they'll take rewards cards and Amex gift cards as direct payment and not charge them to your room if that's what you want. I think the only issue will be how many they can take on one transaction...maybe someone else can chime in on that issue?
