Buying Sourdough Starter?

Does anyone know where to buy sourdough starter? I have seen lots of it available on the internet, but I need it quicker than that. I would try the local grocery store, but I do not even know where to look in the store. Can someone help me?

Wish you were closer -I would be happy to share some of my mother starter. Maybe you could try a local bakery that makes bread from a sourdough sponge--they might sell you some of theirs.

Look on some of the cooking sites for recipes for your own starter! There are several out there, unless there is a particular type you need.

I went to four grocery stores and found the answer to my own question at least at this particular store. It came in a 5x7 envelope and was near the flour.
