Buying small contract from DVC question

I think I'm going to add a small number of points at the BWV through DVC. Seems like the easiest way to get them, and with a small number of points the price difference between DVC and resale isn't much at all.

If I put my "order" in for the points now, and say they have the points available right away when will I get the points? I have a February use year, so would I get 2006 points or would they be 2007 points? (ie: I would have to bank them ASAP since I wouldn't be able to use them). Do I just call the DVC number and ask for the guide that is on my monthly email newsletter?

If you get the February UY points from DVC before February 1st, you will get the '06 points and they should allow you to bank them even beyond the deadlines.

The problem will be that Disney will only sell you points that match your use year unless you buy a whole new qualifying contract (150). That means you might have to wait for February points to be available. Bobbi is right, they usually let you bank as soon as you purchase even if it's past the banking windows.

We recently added on 55 points at BWV with a February use year. I got on the waitlist in late June and the points came through at the end of September. We received (and banked) 2006 points.
