Hey, thanks for the thoughts. At this point, I'm just trying to make the final decision.... Disney (my choice)... vs. Marriott Grande Vista (wife leaning that way). She is hung up on the fact that for the price of 210 OKW points, she could get a 2BDR, 2 BA at Marriott, peak season.

One last question... As maintenance fees go, is Disney much higher than others?

Thanks Again!!!

maintence fees go by the resort..........OKW and SSR are and will be the cheapest...........the others will cost more but none are out of line.

bill with the vacations you listed below your posts it only is going to take 5 or 6 more yearly vacations to WDW for the DVC 160 point package to make finanacial sense. Then when you factor in if you buy at SSR you'll get 49 (one per yr assuming 160 point contract)of those same valued vacations for the price of the 5 you would have spent it is an absolute no brainer. I used the 160 point option because that is the amount of points needed to get a one bedroom for a week at all eligible DVC and non DVC resorts in 2005.

We agreed to pay the asking price of $73 on 230 pts. We really wanted this BWV resale and didn't want to risk losing it over a couple dollars a point. We plan to either add on through Disney or buy another resale in a year or two. The resale process can be stressful. I'm not looking forward to doing it all over again. princess:

This may be nitpicking regarding the way the question was worded in this poll, but not everyone who bought is a "We". I am an "I". :cool1:
