Buying Resale at SSR...can we do a small add on at SSR too?

So, I am celebrating my mother's love for life and adventure by purchasing a dvc contract on the resale market for SSR with some of my inheritance. Will it be possible for me to purchase a small add on contract for SSR direct from Disney to have the blue card membership? I really like the idea of SSR for it's access to DSprings for my teens as well as the options for 2 bedrooms. Besides, you can't beat the points deals on resale...any wisdom from the seasoned DVC families out there?

DVC is not actively selling SSR direct but I'm sure you could ask to be put on a waitlist! And welcome home!

It shouldn't be a problem, just wait till you have closed on your resale contract and Disney has setup your account. Then just call up and ask for a 25 point add on, but it will have to be in the same UY as your resale contract. If you ask before your resale contract is completed they will insist on a 50 point purchase. Good Luck.

We purchased SSR 25 pt. Jun UY last week. Spoke to guide on Friday, he called back Tuesday morning with point availability.

I own SSR, Oct UY. Purchased resale in April. I didn't even have to wait for my 25 point add on. I chatted with a Guide via the website's chat feature about a week after completing my resale process and about 15 minutes later I was off the phone with my credit card charged for 25 points. Blue membership card was unlocked about 2 hours later.
