My Disney rep told me if I bought in now the cost would be $87 per point. She said the money saved would be used as part of the down payment. I want to purchase 250 points. A few people on this site said to purchase 150 points and then do an add on for 120 because Disney is offering a one time 100 points for this year with add ons. My question is...Can this be done on the same contract? And will that effect the savings going to my down payment? Thank you for your advice..

As I understand it, the first contract has to be completed before they can process the add-on. Your points should all have the same use year and will be treated like one contract for booking and banking purposes, but by doing it that way, you have the benefit of a one time 100 point bonus on your original contract. The add on would not effect the original point contract price at all, but those 100 points would be a nice bonus, since you have given up your first years points to get the $87 price.

Hi,
She never mentioned that I had to give up any points??
The $87 per point cost assumes that you give back your first years points to get the lower price. Actually, it is like they are refunding you that money, and you in turn are using it for your downpayment. You CAN get all your current years points by paying the higher per point price if you choose to. At any rate...doing the lower price initial contract and then the 120 point add on, you will still get the 100 bonus points on your original contract, so that means you would have current use year points at your disposal.
