HI,
I have been to WDW 3 other times in the past and have always used a travel agent to book airfare and packages to the World.

This time only my husband and I are flying from BOS to MCO leaving 11/11 and returning 11/16 (2010).
I am going with a package deal that my dance school is offering( hotel onsite, meal vouchers hopper passes), but we have to book our own flights.

I have signed up for Kayak and they have sent me alerts with airfare, but since just a few days ago the flights I thought we wanted have already jumped $30 in price.

Can anyone offer advice on the best time to book and what about refundable tickets? These flights say nonrefundable......:confused3

I am really a flight newbie as I am in my 40's but have only flown 4 times in my whole life!

Thanks for any help!
Debi :)

Refundable tickets are usually much more expensive.

It's hard to say about ticket prices. It depends on the popularity of the route and the days of the week. What is the roundtrip price now?

That is kind of on the high side, I would hold off. Usually prices come down when Southwest releases their fares, right now they are only available to 8/13.

Flight prices go up AND down all the time. Example...

For months I watched the prices of one-way tickets between Philly and Savannah for my daughter who really wanted to fly back to school instead of take the train. Problem is she returns on a holiday weekend (January 2) and at the time I booked the train, it was WAY cheaper than flights.

Train: $158. Plane: $290-$450.

But patience paid off. Price went up, down, up, down and finally after checking daily I snagged the perfect flight time for only $178...$20 more than the train. Price stayed there for 72 hours and is now back to $290.

Its hit or miss. My suggestion is find a price point you're comfortable with and once the flights hit that point buy...then don't look back.
