Buying Passes from The Disney Store?

Hi! I'm thinking of buying our passes in advance from our local Disney Store. What do I need to know about buying them from here? It used to be so easy - "yes i'd like a 6-day hopper pass"
Can I buy the type of pass I"m looking for or do they only offer certain types of passes? Would I receive a discount for purchasing in advance thru them?

:confused3

Thanks!

I don't know exactly which tickets the Disney Store has, but they are not discounted. You might want to try Ticketmania or Mapleleaf Tickets. Many people on these boards have gotten them from those sites and have been very happy. You have to check each one to see who has a better discount as it changes. I got mine from Mapleleaf as they were cheaper at the time, but many people have reported Ticketmania as being cheaper at times.

Good Luck :wizard: :rose:

Disney Store tickets are sold at the Advance Purchase price, which is a little cheaper than the Gate price.

However, TicketMania and Maple Leaf do have slightly better prices.

They are the exact same price as ordering them online, you just get them in-hand sooner than waiting for them to be shipped out or having to pick them up at guest services. Also remember that you'll have to pay the 6.5% FL sales tax.

My GF just dropped $807 at the Disney store on 3 tickets, through Ticketmania she would have spent $757. To her the $50 difference was worth it just to have them then and there. :confused3 At least she has them and we can go play now!

Right, which is the Advance Purchase Price, which is slightly cheaper than the Gate price.

But can you get ALL the different types of MYW passes or does the Disney Store only offer certain types? For example, I could get my passes from AAA, but my local AAA only has base passes and only 4 and 5 day ones at that...

I dunno for sure, but I will be going to my local Disney Store tomorrow so I'll try to remember to ask!

I bought ours at our local Disney Store and they had all of the different passes available. They were color coded and had the base option, hoppers and plus's. They activate the number of days at the register when you purchase them. Ours worked out fine and they gave me a separate receipt with the ticket codes on them in case we ever lost them. They advised keeping that receipt separate at all times from the actual tickets so there really is no need to photocopy the backs anymore.

They did not have individual tickets to the water parks, disney quest, etc. there - at least not that I could see. We got the "plus" options with our tickets so thats all we needed.

Thank you so much WillCAD & Crjack!! :love2:

I think I'm going to plan on buying them at TDS then. :) I just didn't want to make the trip out there to find out they didn't have the passes I wanted. :rolleyes2

You can get 3 - 7 day MYW tickets, starting w/ the Base ticket, than you can add the hopper option. Next step is the base ticket w/ the water park and Disney Quest options, the final option is the hopper w/ the options on it. Hope that helps. Non-expiration option must be purchased at the parks, we don't sell it in the store.

What about the ten day, park hopper. this is what I need to purchase. What is my best option? :sunny:

I'd really appreciate any help, because I am confused about what to do!

I would check out ticketmania.com or mapleleaftickets.com and see what they are offering. Ticketmania has free shipping, maple leaf charges 4.95 but depending on the ticket price sometimes they are cheaper even with the shipping. You can check out their sites to see what they have...I believe they have all of the options. :wizard:

Good Luck

We bought our passes at the Disney Store for our trip in May. You can only buy up to a 7 day ticket (no 10 day) and the price is slightly discounted from gate prices (at least this is the case in CO). The passes worked just fine, and I liked them better than the "paper" tickets you get in FL. These are the "credit card" type which made me feel better..don't ask me why, I just liked feeling the solid card. Anyway, hope this helps.

If I order the passes from Disney online, will they be the plasctic or paper ones?

I know what you mean, The Lion Queen! :sunny:

Well, today I made my bi-weekly pilgrimage to the Disney Store at White Marsh Mall (just north of Baltimore) to buy Disney Dollars, and while there I checked out the rack of WDW passes.

My TDS carries four levels of Magic Your Way pass - MYW Base, MYW Park Hopper, MYW Plus Pack, and MYW Premium. They are available in lengths of 3-7 days.

I work for TDS and this is exactly what all Disney Stores carry. We're getting a lot of misinformed guests coming into our stores, so let me stress now...we do not have the "no expiration" option (nor do we have the prices for it), we do not sell 1 day passes or passes to the water parks or Disney Quest, we do not sell anything over 7 days. Our limit is 3-7 days. That's it (yes, we get a LOT of people thinking we do 1 days or more than 7). Our prices are the same as disneyworld.com which are considered Advanced Purchase. We do not sell the discounted tickets that AAA offers or a military discount (contrary to what many guests keep thinking when they come in). I hope this clears up any confusion.

If you order from disneyworld.com, they will be the paper tickets (at least that's what we got) the Disney Store is the "credit card" type have fun

Need some advice. Leaving next week for wdw and I need to get two 8 day tickets (already have one PAP).

I just assumed that I could get 8 day tickets at the resort. Is this possible? I was going to do this so I could get them on our room keys. What do you think, is it a good idea to put the tickets on our room keys?

At this point, what's the best way to get 8 day tickets.

I think the best thing to do would be to order them online at disneyworld.com, and pick them up at will-call (which is any ticket window at any of the theme parks... and maybe at your hotel, but I'm not postive about that). By ordering them online before you go, you will still be able to get the advance purchase discount (it wont go on your roomkey, but it will buy you a meal or so).

I also want to point out that there is only an advance purchase savings (at TDS and I believe online also) only if you get 5 days or up with the hopping, plus or premium option.

What does one do if they only need 2 days? I have a leftover pass from my last trip but still need those two days. Can you buy the three day at the store and then add the non expiring at the resort, and would it be worth it?
