This will be our first trip as DVC members. In the past, I just booked through the wdw website and got the package that includes your room and tickets. Since we're booking through DVC now, should I still purchase the tickets in advance? And if so, how do they connect your room to you ticket since you arent booking them together as a package anymore? Will the CM just be able to see our tickets reservation and add it to our room card when we get there or what? Thanks for the help

You can purchase tickets when you check-in to you resort and they will be encoded on to your room key.

You can also save some money by going to the mousesavers site and signing up for the newsletter. It come out on the 15th of the month . There are links to the discount ticket brokers with lower prices. I have used ticketmania several times and gotten good prices and good services. We will be ordering again in a month or two and with 5 adult and 1 child ticket is certainly worth it. They either mail the tickets or deliver them to your hotel. There is a charge for this but it is still cheaper than buying tickets once you get there. You can also do a direct purchase in advance from Disney which saves a little also over buying at the gate. With the new ticket system you need to be very clear about which tickets you want to purchase. Hope you have a great trip.
