Has anyone done this? The prices look good... but there is no way of knowing if there are days remaining. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a chance you are buying a used pass?
Any thoughts on this one?

The problem is there is no way to know how many, if any, days are left on the passes til you get to Disney. Thats an awful big chance to take. I would just buy through one of the discount brokers like paramount international or ticketmania. You cna always save your used days for later. Also I have noticed things like hoppers or meal vouchers go for way more than they should on there.

I have posted this before..we have bought quite a few passes on ebay and as of yet (knock on wood) have not been burned once. One pass even had an extra plus day that wasnt mentioned.

But...I also tend to make sure to buy from sellers with established feedback too. I am leery of buying from a zero feedback seller.

I buy and sell a LOT on Ebay, however, with park passes (not just Disney) for which you cannot tell if they are used or not by visual inspection, you are taking an extremely BIG risk. Oftentimes, the passes may of been used by one or more persons (and the seller is not the original purchaser) before they go up on Ebay. The only way you can tell if Disney passes are valid is when you are in Disney World (I think the hotels there can check; and of course when you try and use them at the parks), and its just too big of a risk that they are expired. Bottom Line: You saved enough to go on vacation, why risk ruining your vacation and a lot of money, and causing yourself unneccessary aggravation, by buying passes which may (or may NOT) work until you actually try and use them.

I've been pricing ebay hoppers for 3 days passes and found that it was cheaper and riskfree for me to purchase from Alamo. The passes seem to command a higher money amount than you can buy them from some of the discount brokers that are commonly talked about on this site.

I bought them in April and was nervous but they were fine (actually have some left for the water parks that couldn't use). Yep it is a risk and my theory is that if the person takes the chance to do it and they don't work when I got home I would go to e-bay and post it under their user name and when someone else went to buy from them they would see it, yea I would be out the money.
