Buying Milk at WDW Hotels

We are going to be held captive via Magical Express and very low ticket prices in WDW in a couple of weeks.(Meaning no Car) Is there anywhere on property to buy milk? We are staying at the Grand Floridian. We were hoping to get at least a half gallon for breakfasts in the room a couple days.

And if I can get it on property will it be cheaper than buying a cow and milking her myself?

I think that all of the resorts have a gift shop that sells some basic groceries like milk. I've never stayed at the Grand Floridian but all the other's I've stayed at did. Be prepared to pay up! We get a half gallon for DH's cereal and my coffee.

I was able to get a haf gallon at POR with a snack credit in October

You can definitely use a snack credit if you're on the DDP to buy a half gallon. We did it numerous times during our last trip.

Any of the DVC resorts will have milk and other food items in the gift shop. The closest would be the WL.

All the hotels have them in the various giftshops. DO a look around before you buy though. I found last time at the CR I was quick to grab it at one place and then found larger sized (half gallons) at the sundries shop down the hall.

We're going on our first trip in December under similar circumstances. Our two daughters (3 and 6) love milk so I am planning on taking a bunch of the cartons of milk in our snack suitcase. The cartons do not require refrigeration until after they are opened. I use them all the time for my oldest DD's lunch and she really enjoys them so I have been buying an extra pack every week when I buy the ones for her lunch. I'm sure it will end up saving us a little money in the long run and I won;t have to worry about finding milk.

On the DVC grocery order lists, a quart of milk is $1.75 and a half-gallon is $2.95.
