Buying Magicbands

Haven't been able to find an answer. Going to Disney in december I have the tickets as the cards. I know my kids would like to have the bands.
First this is suripise trip so they dont know.
If we go to disney springs and purchase the bands the day before we go to the park can they be linked by the store?
Second does the memory maker link to all the band or just 1?

Yes they can link them at the store.
The MM will link to the MDE account. If all the bands are linked to the same account they will all be linked to the MM

We did exactly what you're asking. Mind you when we arrived we all had the generic colored band, daughter wanted a fancy one. But yes the fancy character / design bands can be quickly linked to your room / reservation / FP / Memory Maker etc.. In fact my daughter did most of the scanning while we were away because it was "cool" and "grown up" to scan for things

You can purchase them through the Disney store online, then link them yourself though MDE. They will be ready to go when you arrive

I am thinking about getting the water park annual pass. If we purchase magic bands separately, can the WP annual pass be linked to the magicband through the MDE? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
