Hi There

Does anyone know how to buy Euro Disney Shares? I have tried contacting disney themselves and also a share dealing service, but no-one seems to be able to help. We are going to DLP in May and I would like to try and buy some beforehand as we spend a fortune (surprise surprise) when we are there, so would like to try and get some of the discounts that share membership offers. I would be grateful for any advice that anyone may have.

Thanks

Gwen

I bought mine through the Nationwide Building Society but that was when they were still listed on the London Stock Exchange. Since last year they are only listed on the Paris Stock Exchange. This is the official Euro Disney SCA site here with all the details of the shares, don't know if it will be of any help to you. :)

You need to buy them from a broker or French Bank that deals in Paris Stock Exchange.
I bought mine from www.squaregain.co.uk Their customer service is not the best and despite registering on-line you need to phone because you are buying against the euro. They service the purpose.

I bought mine from a company called squaregain.
Website is www.squaregain.co.uk.
I had to set up an account and transfer money into it and then authorise a dealer over the phone to buy them on my behalf . Had to do it on the phone as it was on a international stock exchange. I then went online printed the memo they had detailing this transaction and sent this with my form from the official site Elaine mentions above to Disney by fax. It was all very painless and only cost £12.99 per transaction over the price of the shares.

Hope this helps. :goodvibes

hi there,

how many shares do you have to own/buy to qualify for the discounts? :scratchin

many thanks :cheer2:

500 (roughly 10p each) . If you pay a 30€ service charge for 2 years.
If you own 2000 share this fee is waived.

Thanks for the info - I will give it a bash and see how I get on.

Thanks for the information. I have a number of shares in British Banks acquired through mergers etc. which give very little benefit, so I had been thinking about cashing them in and investing in Disney ones instead.

I wouldn't think of the Euro Disney shares as an investment either, but definitely give access to some lovely shareholder club benefits. Do not think there will ever be a dividend in my lifetime :teeth:

You will not receive dividend, but if you go to DLP once in a while, you can consider the discounts you get with your shareholder's club card as a "dividend".

If I had had the club card for my trip in January, we would have saved a lot of money!!!!

My husband brought me my shares a couple of years ago as a xmas gift.

I know i wont earn anything off them but its my way of saying "i own a little bit of Disney" :cheer2:

Certainly more appealing than my WHSmith shares which generate a miniscule dividend and offer no benefits in the form of discounts in store
