Buying DVC was the worst mistake

Now all my time is spent planning and anticipating the next vacation. I joined in May and I already have my next 3 vacations lined up. I find myself looking at my own posts just so I can see the vacation countdown in my signature.

So true! :rotfl:

Now let's see...how many more weeks do I have left? ;)

WARNING!!!

We bought enough points to stay one week a year in a 1BDR. DH gets 3 weeks and we figured one week at WDW would be enough. Well we bought resale with a loaded contract so we were able to do two trips the first year - we yearned for more Disney so we added on. Now it is definately 2 weeks a year. :cool1:

We don't do summer so his summer week is the beach or a closer to home trip. BUT....we are really having a hard time doing with 6 months between... at least there is planning...14 days until 1st trip to BCV, a little less than 5 months to a trip with my fam and less than 10 months until our first Member Cruise!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I am the same way. Seriously, though, I figured out I am trying to escape the boringness of my life. I needed to re examine my every day life and try to find happiness there - otherwise I was wasting away my life waiting for my time at Disney while I was missing the joy in what I thought was my boring life. All while driving myself crazy..

I wonder if anyone else feels this way too??

sheeesh I thaught I was the only Disney planning nerd... I have been working the system since the first year of wishes for the dining plan.. we all have our little tricks of how to get better reservations and squeeze blood out of this stone...

I feel much better now... and waited for BLT finally and Christmas is my first year as DVC..9 years at the contempory Christmas week club level..

I am saving soooo much money this way now !:woohoo::woohoo::dancer::dancer:

For us, being DVC members has only aggravated a REALLY SERIOUS CASE of Disney Cruise Line addiction. So in addition to filling up our calendar with Disney dates and stuffing a travel folder with those glorious reservation confirmations that come in the mail, we have our cruises (up to two years out) and the DVC visits we can wrap around them!

Somehow, just knowing those trips are out there beckoning to us on the horizon can smooth a lot of rough edges off a tough day/week/month!

When all else fails, read Disboards. Best Disney fix one can have from a desk chair (next to booking reservations or checking park opening times for an upcoming visit).

I just booked a 3-day cash cruise on the new Dream ship for November 2011, which will be combined with a 5-day point stay at AKV. I can't believe I have to wait two whole years! However, I just spent the last half hour re-working my points for the next two years. (I had previously planned the next two years without considering a cruise.) I now have trips planned for March 2010, December 2010, April 2011, and then my combo cruise trip in November 2011. I'm all set. :rotfl:
