Buying DVC merchandise

Now that we're DVC members I'm anxious to buy a shirt, hat, or something, so that I can show off my membership. Is there a catalog of DVC merchandise? Or is it for sale at the 5 resorts? Or is it for sale anywhere?

You can purchase DVC merchandise at all DVC resorts. If you can't wait till you get there(like me ) give the resort a call and order the items you want. There is no catalog at this time.

Looking at Basser's Logo reminds me of a gorgeous beach towel DH got with exactly that picture on it. Very nice! We got it at the general store at OKW.

DVC continues to do a horrible job of marketing merchandise for members. Sad but true. Their current offerings are..............PUNY ,,,,,,,,,

I agree Eros. And I bet it won't get better. They will probably discontinue the 3 items that they sale because very few members will buy them. Then that will be their excuse when someone asks why we can't buy DVC items, "Well we offered some items before and they just didn't sell."

When were at VWL looking at our sight unseen add on they a HUGE selection of VWL items. Jackets, bathrobes and other things that VWL on it. I don't see much that will say BWV, the stores is, in Eros' words, puny!

The last trip (1/16 to 1/27/02) I bought a bunch of DVC stuff.

At OKW: With the OKW (DVC) logo, 1 blue tee shirt, 1 purple & 1 white polos, 1 blue ball cap.

At VWL: With VWL (DVC) logo on them, 1 peach polo & 1 beige ball cap.

I did not buy a jacket. I would if there was another color other than white. I have the exact same jacket with my company logo on it right now. It too is white and is tough to keep clean.

Don-DVC, let's make sure I understand this right. You say you bought a shirt with not just the DVC logo, but specifically a DVC-VWL logo? If so, that goes on my birthday list first(we're celebrating my birthday at VWL). Color? Available at Mercantile? Price? Thanks!

Yes, the store at VWL has shirts, jackets and hats with DVC/VWL logos on them.

Yup, that's right. Both the hat and polo shirt say "The VILLAS at Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE" with the DVC logo embroidered over that. The hat is beige and the polo is a peach color. They also had T shirts, but I did not get a VWL T. They are avalible at the Mercantile. The hat price was $18 and the polo was $48. (pulled the receipt out my PassPorter pocket for ya)

And we're going near Father's Day too. This is great! Both our gifts for each other will be all set-just bring our $48!

I think that Eros and I were responding to the origianl post about purchasing items from home not at WDW. I agree that at the resorts there are some items to choose from with the DVC logo. But there's nothing like a DVC merchandise catalog to purchase items from home. I guess you can call the resort and order sight unseen, but with the prices they charge I would like to at least see a picture of what I am buying. I would be happy if they just had some items on the Members sight. Well at least something more than luggage tags that you can win for free at the meetings or the Members Guidebook, which most everyone has already. I bet if they offered some t-shirts, polos, coffee mugs, etc. that they would sell quite a few.
