Hi all,
I have a meeting set up at the DVC sales center and I know I could ask these questions to our agent but I thought I’d ask here first just so I’d have an idea going in on picking my home resort. I’m looking to find out how much points are being sold for direct for Grand Floridian, Boulder ridge, animal kingdom, and Polynesian. My mom owns at Saratoga, Aulani, and now riviera so I was hoping to get a different home resort than anything she has. And I’m leaning towards cooper creek, but my heart is torn between grand Floridian, animal kingdom, and anything at fort wilderness. (Basically I love them all but $$$$ is a big factor) . I’m already familiar with the annual dues/maintenance cost so now I’m just looking for initial purchase cost for points if anyone happened to do the tour and happened to be told lol. Thanks friends.

You are looking at $176 for Boulder Ridge or AKV, $235 for Poly and $245 for VGF. BRv expires 2042.

All of them you can save $80pp or more buying resale, save maybe AKV, where you may only save $40-50 per point.

Have you stayed at any of the resorts? There is a considerable price difference direct between those resorts you listed as well as expirations. I’d ask yourself a few questions first.

What is your budget?
What room category do you want?
And how long do you want to stay?
Then from those questions look at each resort and compare points cost - VGF will require the most points, the Poly and CCV and BRV are the same. Use David’s DVC calculator ( it’s a rental company).

Do not buy on you tour. Take the info home with you, digest the info you receive then you can call to make the purchase.

If money is a big factor then you should look into resales - CCV direct is around $210pp but resale it around $150-160pp so you could either save more money resale or just acquire more points. Also consider the UY you need this is a very important factor.

Yes I’ve stayed at all of them except copper creek. I do have a budget, but I couldn’t find the direct prices online anywhere (until at least someone dropped me a link in a comment above yesterday) we live close by so we just do quick one or two nights a few times a year-my mom also has dvc so sometimes we stay with her when she does as well so I’m not dying for a large amount of points my husband and I just want our own membership. I have a booklet of points chart. I actually was present with my mom when she bought riviera and when my parents initially bought Saratoga years ago so I’m familiar with all that, just needed prices to prepare myself for what I can and shouldnt do :) we thought about resale but the member events and all those little extra bonuses are important to my husband and I so maybe in a few years if we decide to get more points or another resort or something but I’m definitely aware it’s there.
