Does anyone buy their dog food online? I'm looking for the cheapest place to get it. I need to buy a hypoallergenic food for my dog, but the closest place that sells better food than what wal mart sells is about an hour drive.

I've looked at amazon, petsmart, and buy.com so far... where have you found to be the cheapest?

I buy Kirkland Lamb and Rice (same as Nutro) for about half the cost at Costco.

Nutro is what he's been eating. We don't have a costco here (I live in the middle of nowhere in Maine right now). Sam's club is about an hour away but they don't carry it. the lamb and rice formula the do carry, he didn't digest very well.

Try wag.com. It's part of diapers.com and I can say that I absolutely love ordering from this company. I just ordered dog food, dish soap, and diapers and it came to the house on 2 days without shipping charges. I have been ordering from diPers.com for 2 years and never, ever, had a problem.

our dog has beef allergies. i feed her natural balance venison and sweet potatoe.
i always order online, just google it and see what place is cheapest. google the places too for coupon codes
good luck

I purchase dog food online. I have used doggiefood.com , and petcarerx.com. There is also petflow.com, onlynaturalpet.com, etc. Depending on what food you are wanting to feed, some online stores may or may not have it. My favorite right now is doggiefood.com -- they have the brand I use and have free shipping, plus periodic sales. :)

Do you have a local tractor supply? I'm not sure about their online prices but my dog eats the 4health from there and its pretty cheap along with good reviews. (4 star I think)

Hi Surfergirl602, I have 4 rescue doggies and one of them has megaesophagus. I live on Long Island and had taken him to the Cornell Vet Hospital for help. (cannot say enough wonderful things about them too!!)
Anyway I needed to buy special food for Tucker that no one carried. This store ordered it for me and kept a bag in stock so I would never be without. I am not sure if they ship and I am sure not cheap to ship dog food but if you are buying online anyway. Also they have a program where if you spend such and such amount of money, you get a $8.00 coupon every time. This comes in handy with 4 of them to feed. Their name is Total Pet Care and the phone is 631.218.7680.

Also all you doggie owners on this thread I hope you are aware of huge, huge problem with Doggie Treats made in China. Please do your research and of course make your own decision I check everything now. My doggies loved the chicken strips from Costco and no more! Facebook has entire page on it. I hope this is helpful, they are my kids!

I've shopped online for several years at Pet Food Direct- it's a .com I go through Ebates first for a 4% rebate and then only shop when they have 20% off or free shipping. I can't find my dog food anywhere else locally as she eats Innova Large Breed Senior. They have large breed at most places now but not the "senior" version. They ship right away, have great organic treats and great CS. I highly recommend them- they have so many brands on their site and the site is easy to search.

THIS! I had to return an opened bag of the chicken strips to Costco. They gave me a funny look but I told them the product had been known to cause problems...made in China, and I got my full refund.

Hi dclfun,
That is a great picture, love it!!
I also took back the chicken strips to Costco once I knew what was going on. I check every treat I buy now, nothing made in China at all anymore. It is amazing because most of the treats you see in Costco or Target are made in China. It really has opened my eyes.

One of my fuzzy girls has to have grain-free food to help with - ahem - digestive issues. I order ours from Amazon. I get a subscribe and save discount on it. We also have Prime and, despite S&S items not having free 2 day shipping, I always get mine within 2 days.
