Okay just was wondering if anyone else has problems getting jeans that fit good? I carry all of my weight in my hips and thighs and no matter how much I workout that part of my body just doesn't slim down. So when I buy pants I have to buy them to fit my thighs and hips and they are always to big in the waist. So if any one has this problem what type or brand of jeans to you buy.

I know just what you're talking about. :)

I buy Elisabeth by Liz Claiborne. I get them at Dillards in the women's dept. They are cut generously in the hips and thighs. They also have a 4 or 5" elastic section in the waist so they fit nicely without gaping. I have found jeans, shorts, and capris in the same line and they all fit great. :)

I found their website and it has a store locator. :)

Another one who carries it "all below"! I have a lot of trouble finding clothes that fit right. If it fits the hips, it's too large in the waist.
No advice (however, I will look into Lisa's idea!), just wanted you to know you far from the only one!

Same here. I ordered some pants from LLBean and the waist fit!! They are the Bay Twill, with pleated front and also come with a partial elastic waist but these are the first pants that the waist fit.

Let's put it this way, when I got measured, the lady did my hips, then when she went for my waist, stopped and said, wow what a small waist! There was a 14 inch difference.

Have you considered trying Land's End? They also have a virtual model that you can try clothes on. THey have them in different cut styles as well.
Also have you tried Hanes her way jeans? They too are cut with a fuller cut and fit in the waist.

I'm glad someone asked this question. I too have the Classic Hourglass figure. I hate sitting down and there is about a 2-3 inch gap sticking out at my waist in the back!! I just bought some jeans at Lane Bryant and they fit well. I'll have to try the catalog now that I know they've worked for some of you other Classic Girls

Thanks for the tips.

Thanks for all the good suggestions, I think I will try the Lands End brand of jeans. I was looking at their web site and they have jeans that are made to fit your body type so this might be an option. I know even though I could lose a ton of weight my hips and thighs will always be out of whack with the rest of my body!
