Buying AP's online and receiving magicband question.

We'll be purchasing online, will they send magicbands then, or will we get them when we turn in the vouchers for tickets at the park?

I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I will be purchasing DVC vouchers. I have also purchased from Undercover Tourist and upgraded but I'm kind of afraid to do that with possible changes coming soon.

They are sent to your house about 10 days after you activate the vouchers at the park. This was what I was told on the phone with Disney. But you can link them to your resort magic band if you're staying on site, or if you have a MB from a previous trip.

You will not have an option to customize and ship your AP MB until after you redeem your voucher.
You won't get them at the park

No, not paper (or even Tyvek.)
There are no paper tickets issued anymore at WDW.

All tickets are now issued as plastic cards with a built-in RFID chip for entrance and FP+, etc.

Are you staying onsite? Do you have magicbands from a previous trip? If so you can link your APs to those and use that instead of the card.

You can buy MagicBands™ from the on-line Disney Store and associate them with your AP voucher before you get there (assuming you have enough time to get the MBs before you go...).

You don't get the MB in the park when you activate your AP. You get a plastic credit card. When you are able to go online you can order your MB to have shipped to your home. It does come quickly (maybe a week probably depends on time of year/how busy).

Staying offsite and we haven't been since before FP+ and magicbands.

That's not going to happen,moo expensive for all of us.


We'll probably just try to go for the day a few weeks before our trip, so we have the convenience of having magicbands for our trip.

Just remember to go onto MDE and customize the AP MBs once you've activated the APs.

Mine was renewal but was able to order MB before I turned in voucher.

Just make sure that when you do have your annual pass attached to the Magic Band that you have your annual pass card with you to get any discounts. They cannot do it based on the Magic Band. We learned that the hard way!

I just got an AP Mb because of computer glitch and it didn't have discount card in box like past ones have, box also smaller than past boxes.
