Has anyone bought their APs at Orlando Airport before?

If you have, can you tell me if everyone needs to be there when you buy them or can one person get them (with everyones passports for IS)?

Do they give you the AP DC discounts at the airport Disney shops?

Thanks

TIm

Ah yes - watching this one with interest! It's what we'd like to do too. But we don't want to lug the luggage round with us!

Whereabouts in MCO is the Disney Store?

I've not bought my passes there so can't answer your questions Tim, but I can atleast answer Alison!

There are 2 Disney shops directly opposite each other. They are not shops at the side in a wall, but are glass walled units in the middle of the concourse and are right next to where the monorail takes you to the main terminal. You can't miss them! It also means that you won't have any luggage with you as you'll have already got rid of them in the double baggage system. Oh, and it's not actually called The Disney Store, it's Disney something or other, but not Disney Store.

The 2 stores are called:

Disney's Flights Fantastic - this is in airside 4 (before the monorail takes you to the main terminal).

and

The Magic of Disney - this is in the 'great hall' in the main terminal.

I beleive u can only buy AP at the parks.

They are not availible at Disney hotels, unless its changed from 12th Aug.

Hi Paul

The Disney stores at the airport are actually WDW stores so you can buy the AP from there, but you are correct, the only other place is to buy them at the parks or Downtown Disney - you can't get them at the hotels for some bizarre reason

Thanks Tim! I've never noticed the one on the main concourse before (I'm usually at breakneck speed getting out or getting thru security to notice, hehehe) so have only noticed Flights Fantastic...which I guess is just split in half for it to have two shops by the monorail

as an aside

SW and Universal do a much better deal than Disney

Sea world give u 10% of all goods purchased in the park, including food, free parking and 50% of tours and they give you a creditcard dtyle pass which will last a year.

Universal does a two park pass with all of the above but 20% off goods and 15% off food.

It yet again shows Disneys nickle and dime atitude to "Guests" may be this is a word of warning to Disney. My 14 year old said "We could skip Disney next time and just go to IOA" We have been to Disney 6 times but there is a gap in the service for teenagers, after all Space Mountain, while well themed is 30 years old(as are most of the Headliners) and does not compare with the Hulk or for that matter with RNR.

I might be mistaken, but I thought that Universal had cut their discount to 10%. Still, it's a big saving, especially as their APs are such good value inthe first place. It's just not as generous as it used to be.

Regards

Rob
