Buying Annual Passes

Can you buy APs on line or do you have to call WDW. I cannot seem to buy anything on line except the 14 or 21 day ultimate passes

You can buy an AP by calling Disney - 001 4079347639 (there are other numbers but I used this one)
You can have it delivered to you (an AP voucher) for a $3 charge. Remember if you want to use your AP to get a room discount you will need your voucher...dont just collect when you arrive (will call).
I ordered my AP a couple of weeks ago and it arrived within 10 days. You then exchange the voucher for a AP card when you arrive.

I bought our disney annual passes over the phone, but I did the universal ones online

yes, the Universal system is better.
After you have your first AP, then when you renew online the plastic AP card you have is set u so that its ready to go, no will call or getting them sent to you.

Unless you actually need your AP voucher for some specific reason, it might be easier to wait until you get to WDW before you buy the AP. It is a very quick process, and APs can be bought at any Disney ticket sales window.

i have never needed the passes or vouchers when i checked in.....i think i was asked only once and i said that i was going to buy them after checking in and they said fine....
I never buy them in advance since i never know for sure that i'm actually going to get to WDW until we actually get there.....that's a lot of money to plunk down in advance....
this year we arrived on a sunday in the early afternoon.....we headed over to guest relations at DTD and bought our APs there.....but we could have bought them at any of the parks....
